Gran Turismo Sport PSX 2016 Trailer

In Arcade Mode select your race options but put on more sticky tyres. After the game loads the AI will be comparable to the level you selected, then put on the less sticky tyre you wanted to use in the first place. There's you faster AI.

so the good old gt4 tyre/power car gimpage tricks. yes, these will definitely be required in gt sport looking at all the videos. :(

total shithouse polyphony are.

Yep:
This is the first time we’ve heard confirmation from Porsche themselves that the deal, in its current form, is done.

Racing games last gen were the most realistic games we could get, this generation they don't seem to have evolved all that much though... Dirt 2 looked almost real on the PS3.

Drive Club looks like a proper next-gen game, but it's also very limited in terms of exploration and controlled environments.... where are the other jaw-dropping racing games?

Forza horizon 3 is pretty impressive at times and is fully open without any boundaries.

The best racung game I have played in the last few years alongside Assetto Corsa in VR, it's a shame the PC version of Forza Horizon 3 can be very temperamental.

Sounds pretty good to me, though it's a little tough to tell without direct feed.

No idea. Any time between May and November probably.

I was hoping March... that isn't happening. Sooo.. you may be right or.... Coming to PS5!

I think its funny this new video specially at the STI part shows way improved sounds for engines, looks amazing, and has a pretty good sense of speed, but of course all the debby downers gotta complain about the next thing. Now we need a Forza guy to give us realistic crash noises on a racing sim, based off of a youtube video sounding tinny.

Can't wait for this to get released so I can dust off my wheel.

The person playing on the left doesn't have the second 3d map, so I am assuming it's an option you can toggle

I would like to think it's possible to turn off the HUD completely, like in GT6 (I don't remember if it was possible in GT5).

Graphically it looks superb. Great use of HDR. Sounds seem more raw and throaty. Love the explosive backfires, much nicer than pCARS' slow-burn flamethrowers. Holy shit at the nuclear brake-lights.
Throatier, sure, but you'd have to assume that "Subaru Gr.4" means race transmission and you don't hear it and where is the drive-line stress torque after a shift? Tire squeal is also still the same. At the moment PD is still playing catch up with Turn 10. I wish PD would show the attitude from SMS saying that they know how important the sound is and planning to have better sound than RaceRoom and thus the best in the industry with their next game. Instead PD makes every car and track new from scratch but keep the same sound engine and just introduce new base engine samples. With under 140 originally planned cars, they absolutely had the chance with this installment.
Eh, we'll see... 2017 is still a long year.

(I might even buy it as it is now, looks great, hope it performs well on base PS4 though)

This honestly feels like looking at the best looking game ever

They just nail the realistic art so well that even if it is behind technically in any obscure way it still looks the best

Just jaw dropping pro version hnnngggghhh!

Damn, that looks incredible. I know you can'y read too much into watching a game but I like what I'm seeing of how the cars handle.

Why are that woman's legs wearing bow ties? At what point in her life did letting her legs were bow ties seem a credible option? Why is nobody else questioning this craziness?

The visuals are stunning. Driveclub still holds up to this day but this seems to take it to another level.

The only downside is the same as always; the crashes look and feel woeful. Almost like bumpers cars. They don't look like they feel right... he bangs into he back of cars and you get a wee metal clunk and a bounce.

Like every other racing game basically

Even the ones with supposed damage simulation other than stuff like rfactor u can drive into an invisible wall at 100 miles an hour and then just keep on driving

The damage simulation in console racing games is so grossly inflated and exaggerated it's not even funny none of them have a great system applies to gt forza Driveclub etc

The bumping sound is not meaty though like Driveclub though I agree

Cars seem floaty to me. :(

Sound has improved drastically since GT6.

But goddamn, those visuals are spectacular, PD are on another level.
Yes they are on a visual level, but Kudos to sound as well. I don't think I've ever heard the sound of the other cars so forcefully before, you literally hear the car engine behind and before you and it really enhances the thrill of the game....You feel really hurried by the engine tailgating you, yeah, sound really adds another dimension, but only when it's done right...So I feel PD may have nailed it here.....

Tremendously missing the point there. It's a game ultimately but it's about conveying some hint of realism.

There should be some crash physics and effects. The video shows a car rear ending another at 97km/h. A cracked bumper and some scuff marks wouldn't go amiss or a crumpled area. Not a thing happens.

Racing sims have pretty much abandoned realistic crashing physics. Simple models have existed for a decade now.

When are they going to penalize gamers for rear-ending another car? It's been twenty friggin years!

The second track looks really nice, even the engine sounds good. And on the Pro we might have the first GT game that runs at a locked 60fps since GT4.

When someone can come up with a fair piece of code that determines who's fault it is

Small gifs are misleading. Get a gif like that from GT6 and it will probably look amazing too.

Most, but not all of them.

It's a hard thing to do and it doesn't matter much in the long run. Regarding real damage (not cosmetic) it would be disabled on 95% of online races anyway.

I'm still baffled by their focus on multiplayer.

Where is that market? How many console players are playing racing/simulators online?

There is no market. GT is on a oneway trip to the racing game scrapyard if they're still on the same road.

Yoshida should have fired Kaz on the spot when he said he wanted GT to be the future of motorsport. He's completely lost it.

Pretty much nothing happens in forza or Driveclub either so not missing the point at all sorry. Do you play any of these games or u just moaning for the sake of it?

It's amazing how ppl bitch about this so much without realizing every game is terrible on the damage simulation front like the post earlier said it's simply not going to be accurate at all in the first place and will have zero place in online racing too
