He's friends with some questionable people but yeah many people got on his case for the new Ghostbuster thing for......refusing to see it. He decided to vote with his dollar as people always tell others to do and because of that he got shit on. He didn't attack anyone, it simply wasn't the Ghostbuster movie he's held out hope for .

I don't know if AVGN is a gator, but I'm sure a non-trivial portion of his fanbase is. He stayed completely silent on the whole thing.
I have no idea why Mega64 has such a (relatively) small subscriber base, it was baffling to me when I noticed.
I don't think he is. But he has associated with AlphaOmegaSin, who is a gamergater. That's when I unsuscribed from him and I don't know what he has done since then.

Wow, the debate with Destiny is worse than I imagined. He literally compared legal immigration to the US to the colonization of Africa. Riots in Sweden, Europe in flames, the benefiting global elites... yeah, it's painfully obvious what kind of sites and communities he got these opinions from.

JonTron is like the epitome of /pol/ and people that post on The_Donald. Just the absolute bare minimum knowledge of history to debate their "points" while ignoring context and attempting to shut down the opposition with "witty" hot takes.
JonTron is straight up a moron. It's quite clear in the interview with Destiny.
That said, I had never heard of Destiny before this and now he has a fan.

Seems like they way Jon thinks of American culture is white men created this nice country for us and can claim any parts they like about it as theirs. The rest are just lucky to be here.

Yup, I just watched a couple more of his debate videos. I don't agree with everything he says but he seems to be open minded and constantly trying to learn new things. He recently had a debate with a "race realist", who brought up many of the same talking points as JonTron

Their really isn't a such thing as White culture. Now you could say French culture, Spanish culture, Dutch culture and etc but none of these should have a race requirement to them it's just collective works of Art,music, fashion, behavior quirks,etc found within a region. Typically those who complain about destruction of white culture isn't very cultured to begin with.

Worst part of this is the sizable number of young non-political JonTron fans are now exposed to this garbage and will defend the man and find themselves allied with the alt-right. The PDP situation is similar, even though I feel PDP himself doesn't share their point of view. These popular youtubers hold a lot of sway on millions of extremely impressionable young people. When they put themselves in a situation where they are allied by the alt-right, they inevitable push some portion of their viewership down that path.

What on earth are you one about. The guy literally argued in favour of ta return to racial purity of a nation (that was never racially pure as he states it from the beginning). This slightly right view and it's more than extremely racist it's moronically stupid.

Basically Yahtzee is skeptical of issues that are extremely sensitive right now, and that's enough for some to write him off altogether. On my end I think it's a massive stretch to label him alt-right or bigoted. Most of what he's said that people are showing as red flags take a pretty moderate (if flawed) look at what he's discussing. Those who don't like what he's said in the past are under no obligation to continue supporting him, however, and I personally don't agree with many of his words so I can see where they're coming from.

You can be against taxation, against too much government, for a more deregulated economy and no one is going to call you a racist.
But if you come here and say that because I'm black I'm inherently more violent, that colonisation was a good thing and that immigrants are destroying every single country they are let into, you're racist.
That's not an opinion it's a fact.
He views "immigrants" as lesser people, I don't see why you would what to downplay that.
