[N-Conf] ZombiU for WiiU

Graphics look bad... Even for a 360/PS3 game.

Yeah looks pretty bad visually. Concept seems pretty cool -- if it reviews well, this seems it could be a pretty cool distraction at discounted price during the inevitable post-launch drought.

edit: I guess I can't really say anything too harsh about the visuals since I've only seen the stream of an in progress game. I cringed when we saw the girl's face up close, though.

Just saw the demo on Spike.

This actually has me excited. Love that you only have single life, if you die, you re-spawn as a new survivor who has to go back and track the body you just lost to re coupe some of the survival materials you had gathered. Your old character is now a zombie and you have to retrieve resources.

That's a great take on survival horror. Looks more like RE than RE6.

Still a little clueless on the goal of this ame and the setup but it looks interesting.

Though if this spiketv gameplay indicates the power of the WiiU I'm disappointed.

I mean it looks good but about middle of the road for a ps3/360 game. I was hopin WiiU was going to e noticeable step up but t feels like only a slightly improved system if that.

Uh, the person is moving back, forward, and side to side.

Sometimes it looks like he's moving with the D-Pad and looking around with the whole gamepad instead of using the right stick so anything can be possible. Knowing Ubisoft, we won't know until the game gets demo'd in realtime.

The graphics aren't too good. It looks about as good as Left 4 Dead. I expected better to be honest IMHO.

This is a first wave game. Did people expect graphics to maxed out right out of the gate? Also how much better do you want games to look!? I'm really serious with this question. Honestly people.

The melee and shooting reminded me a lot of Dead Island. Even the way he was holding that boat oar (or cricket bat?).

For Christ's sake, to the haters, this is a game that actually attempts to do SOMETHING different in the shooter/survival genre, and people still complain. Daaaamn.

This one has my attention, hopefully it turns out to be as fleshed out a concept as I envision it is.

This used to be Killer Freaks and it used a very interesting control scheme. Check out the demo from last year for an idea on how this might control.

Well of course everyone forgot about the 360 and PS3 launch.

Honestly I think people feel this way since the WiiU is supposed to be competing with whatever MS and Sony announce next year.

Looks like theres no story to this game all you do is go around killing zombies. That lady sounded flustered when she got asked about it.

I'm just gonna say, check out DayZ. The concept is already playable.

Is the gameplay footage up anywhere? I can't find it yet, and I missed it live. I'm excited to see this.

Just saw the gametrailer all-access for this and I'm excited. Perma-death looks great, and it's easy to die if you make stupid mistakes. I wonder if you can run out of survivors.

Permadeath, real time menus, one bite kills. I'm amazed a major developer/publisher is actually putting out a game that's this hardcore. It looks awesome.

Okay. Pikmin 3, ZombiU, Tank! Tank! Tank!, and that new Kamiya game are enough for me. I'm not so angry anymore. Nintendo chose the wrong games to display.

Do people remember what Xbox 360 games looked like at launch?
Yea, pretty nice. Definitely a huge leap forward from previous generation. Kameo, in particular, is still a beautiful game to this day.

Just saw the gameplay demo and the concept sounds like something I'd hate. Lots of redoing stuff, no checkpoints or anything so I've got to start over every time I boot up the game? No thanks.

I only caught the very end of the live demo but it looks promising. I like that kind of one-chance roguelike concept.

While the perma-death concept sounds awesome for this game, it makes me a bit worried that there is no real sense of progression and that the game is just meant to be a pick up and play game like an early arcade game. No sense of completion or even a longer meaningful experience.

Awesome. My most wanted WiiU title by far, which is odd to say since it's third party. I said wow. Ubisoft shows Nintendo how to do hd gaming.
