You guys are fucking nuts, looks way better than any FPS for current consoles.

Hard to say that until we get more footage but it does look great. Weather effects are something we have to see, explosions, flames, water, etc. It is the much more unique compared to all the other military shooters out there though. I would gather the game will have it's slow and quiet moments with action filled happening at random. Especially since it's easy for you to die. No ducking until health regens. Looks like you either killed what is in front of you or get the hell away and try to lose those chasing you. Stealth and tactics would have to be a big part of the game. Which makes me wonder how exploreable would the world be. That sniper shot in the trailer looks like you can get to the roof top. If so that means going inside of building which could be a death sentence if you bring attention to yourself.

I'm more excited about this now (after being worried and annoyed at the name (which now makes sense but I think Ubisoft just got lucky)) then I ever was for any other shooter coming. What I wonder though if there will be any online multiplayer or if it will just be leader boards if there are any.

Honestly, if this were an announced 360/PS3 title 5 years ago I wouldn't have given a shit or thought it was impressive. Just because they slap the "exclusive" tag on something and *say* it's built from the ground up, doesn't make it so - especially with the rumored random flux of the development kits for this system.

Think about it, you think Ubi Soft is going to waste an actual good development team or franchise as an exclusive for a launch system of any kind? Fuck no.

Graphically its obviously a step up from other zombie games like L4D, certainly not at the level of a Crysis or something. The models hold it back, but many other aspects look good. The details and gameplay make this much more intriguing to me, so I'll be keeping on eye on it.

You were wowed by GUN and Perfect Dark Zero? You poor soul.

Condemned, Kameo and PGR3, doll.

And I'm not sure why people are comparing this to L4D; L4D has a lot more going on at a time than they showed during Zombi U, this game is more comparable to Dead Island

I have to ask. If the rumour of 1.5Gig of memory is true. Why aren't they using it. Texture resolution and shadow detail is woeful.

That actually looks better.

I have to say it looks rather nice, not as if it´s jawdropping in any way, but it´s a great step up from the Wii...and that´s all I need.

The concept of no real story or progress seems intriguing and if it delivers all the way it will be a release buy for me.

Looks very current gen, like an average 360 game. But some of the controller ideas are pretty cool. Sounds like it could be pretty fun.

TWO SCREENS, TWICE THE FEAR – Feel the tension mount as you try to keep an eye on your TV and controller screen.

The biggest worry for me and they make it out as some sort of fucking marketing ploy.

I can't help but feel the 2 screens might create too much of a distraction, oh well willing to be proved wrong.

According to the trailer, it will be ace to create a sense of urgency seeing what's coming if you don't manage your inventory or solve a puzzle quick enough, and exactly the same way you'd do it in real life: looking elsewhere from what you're doing.

I think the two screen thing is meant to emphasize the tension. Notice that the game didn't pause at all during the sequence where the survivor was attempting to hack that door. He was looking down at his device (WiiPad) and frantically trying to find the code while the zombies were creeping towards him on the television. And always just one bite away from permadeath.

I think it could be pretty cool, like when you're in your inventory you have to look down at the controller just like the character has to look into his bag. You're distracted and so is your in-game avatar, an enemy could attack at any moment. Should be tense.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Where are people watching the gameplay demo? The stuff at the conference seemed a lot like Red Steel early concept videos.

Does it look fun when played? Some of the concepts are good but I don't trust Ubisoft to not fuck it up as a launch title yet.

Previous page.

Edit: derp, beaten.

Thanks!

Edit: looks decent enough graphically, clearly not an AAA effort even if WiiU is only current gen like, but it was too short to tell much about the gameplay. Again, the concept is intriguing, if the world is big and the missions and encounters varied and the survival aspect intense. Kind of like L4D or RE as a more hardcore roguelike, permadeath and seeing your dead old self with a new game.

In the presentation there was this part where the user was holding the controller in front of the TV and a zombie attacked when he lowered the tablet. I expect that to happen alot.

Games look fun, but we really need a longer demo.

There's an inconsistency with the presentation that suggests that there's still a ways to go in the development process. Some parts look really good, other parts not so much.

Wow that Wii U controller looks so cool, here I thought it was bigger.

The idea is neat, that trailer is pretty gruesome. I hope it plays well, it seems like it does, just guy died early.

The concept is great, especially the use of the controller. Long-term motivation might be a bit meh but I'll buy it. Rock solid launch game if you ask me. Graphically it looks good. Not great but good.

He means actually show a live gameplay demonstration and not fake non-hype prerendered target videos.

I agree. The live demo we got later on Spike TV should have been what we got on stage. Hoping for more demo footage of this later.

They should've called it "Zombie U" and make it like a Bully spinoff where everyone at University are zombies, eventually resulting in the zombie apocalypse.

from what I saw in the GT demo, beside the face models, I think few fps looks better than it (on consoles at least); for example, it looks better than Deus Ex

I thought the game would look like shit, cause the footage at ND showed too much of their faces, but that's really the only bad part of it.

the 'no story' feature is basically what RE has become, just without trying to look like a b-rated block buster

---
man, only if there was more incentives to buy the console...
