Well, you've certainly made a clear and concise argument to convince us of your point. Oh wait... no you didn't. You just said you don't know how to express your very purpose for making this thread.
Seriously, are you trolling?
He's clearly trolling. He thinks it's overrated but he wants to make as controversial a topic as possible in order to convince himself that he's a "free-thinker man," and "totally not in line with popular opinion." He's clearly a teenager who kept hearing about Seinfeld and kept thinking, "Well it can't be that great if it's not new and modern like Curb your Enthusiasm. I'll watch a couple of episodes so I can say I've watched it but it probably sucks." *proceeds to watch Curb Your Enthusiasm and laugh hysterically*
"Oh man my taste is awesome."
This thread is a disaster, Suze.
I can't believe the OP isn't banned? the mods shouldn't let someone with obvious mental issues go around posting nonsensical shit on the boards.
I've never heard such a thing.
You're wrong.
Your opinion is wrong and dumb.
Dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
At any point, anywhere, Seinfeld is on and it's someone's favourite episode.
You and the rest are boring people and I don't think that is a stretch in the slightest.
The only sitcom that compete with Seinfeld for #1 is ...
I read the thread and said goddamn. Not because of the OP, but because of all the hateful shit thrown his way because he has a different opinion than some people. It says more about the people all but calling him an idiot for not liking Seinfeld than it does for him not liking it.
but Friends? Really? Friends is better than Seinfeld? When people say things like this they deserve to be cursed and beaten down.
Put me in the Friends camp. I've had the displeasure of watching several Seinfeld episodes and I hated every single one of them. I'm right there with you OP.
Really?
God fucking damn.
Can I tell a Jason Alexander story?
Back when it was still legal to play online poker - at least on Poker Stars, in the US I would occasionally run into Jason Alexander on the middle to high stakes Sit and Go tournaments. One time, the entire table got into this thing where we only spoke in George Contanza one liners, it was awesome.
I don't mind people having opinions or not liking Seinfeld.....but Friends? Really? Friends is better than Seinfeld? When people say things like this they deserve to be cursed and beaten down.
Its people like this that are the reason shows like 'Big Bang Theory' do well while shows like Community get no ratings at get canned. I'd say we aren't throwing enough shit his way.
Seinfeld was funny. George Constanza was the best.
But ironically, I hated Curb. Constanza was a lovable loser. Larry David is just an annoying asshole.
Him liking Friends more than Seinfeld speaks more to his tastes in comedic preference than his intelligence. Opinions, how do they work?
And as far as laying Community's lack of ratings at his feet, I'd say times change, and with it the general publics tastes. After all, the show that Korey doesn't get and is getting piled on for not liking had amazing ratings back in the day, right?
i hate friends and seinfeld...
actually i dislike basically all sitcoms except the early seasons of two and a half men
sitcoms were a lot better in the 80s, perfect strangers, step by step
but i like documentaries especially BBC ones... i guess im just different.
ugh., whats next... Mad about You > ?
speaking of malcolm in the middle.. has anyone seen ABC's disgusting rip-off called "the-middle" ? I caught the into of the show on TV the other night and couldn't believe my eyes. How can someone get away with something that blatant? I can't find the intro on Youtube.
I could understand someone not liking Seinfeld, but there's no way it can hold the title of unfunniest sitcom ever when Dharma and Greg, Big Bang Theory, Friends, Married With Children, Joey, King of Queens, 2 and a Half Men, Baby Talk, The Cavemen (seriously, this show), My Mother the Car, House of Payne, and the atrocity that was AfterMASH exist.
Like, really, there have been some garbage sitcoms.
These two know.I didn't like the show much in the 90s when I was in High School, but I started to really like it once I got into college and watched it from the beginning. It became one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. Next to Married with Children and Fresh Prince of Bel-AIr.
I agree with this.
I'm 16 episodes in ("The Fix-Up") and I've laughed maybe two times. Laugh is a strong word.
one of those shows is not like the other.
Two and a Half Men >>> Seinfeld
At least the first five seasons.
