Man, dullest week on Steam in a while based on sales and new releases. Presumably they're saving good stuff for a blowout Thanksgiving/Black Friday sale next week. I want to cut my 90 game wishlist to at least 70. Make it happen, Gabe.

Awesomenauts is really fun. Anyone have an idea if there'll be a community there outside of the free weekend? Will it be awesome, naut or somewhere in between?

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Billing address needs to be your own associated with the CC. The delivery address (which doesn't really matter because it's a digital product) needs to be a US one.

This isn't true at all in the case of Amazon; its checkout system doesn't cross-reference a user's nominated billing address against that of the card holder and a shipping address isn't required when ordering only digital products.

Has anybody here played Deponia or it's sequel? Just wondering if it's good since I want to give my gf a nice game to play on steam that's heavy on story, but not too hard to get into gameplay wise.

From what I've seen it looked like an adventure game ass adventure game. If you want to almost totally do away with gameplay, I'd go with To The Moon.

Lol. For vindictus, the nexon f2p game that removed the steam wallet -> ingame currency restriction; having to go through steam wallet just got added back in again.

So I've installed S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, and I recall vaguely there's some excellent mod for it that I should get? I've never played the game before.

Exists there a method to check whether a Steam key is still activable?
I already have the game for this key. What happens if I try to activate it?
Would there be a message telling me I already have the game but the key is still activable?

It will just say that your account already owns it, and sometimes what it is.

Type it in. :p

I have tried and it says I already have the game, the next step is the installation process.

Edit: It is the exact same message for a duplicate code for a game I already own.

Quote to help me try the key. You have an hour.

I'm getting a lot of slowdowns in Arkham City, even when I lower the settings. Could it be because I'm using the AMD 12.11 beta driver?

I'm using DX9 by the way.

What's your CPU? It's a fairly CPU/HDD intensive compared to Asylum.

Did you turn off PhysX?

Yes, it's off. It's a Phenom II x4 965 @3.4 GHz.

The thing is, I had less stutter when I was using my HD 4850. I'm using a HD 7870 now and it lags a lot when I'm gliding, even if I lower the settings.

The game was very badly optimised, if I remember right, with fps drops at very random intervals.

I have a 6950 and the only way I could get it to run smoothly was by turning the DX11 features off.

ok....starting to get pissed.

last week, i started up dead island again (After a few weeks of not playing), and find my save file is probably 4-5 hours behind from where i left it. sucks, but i chalked it up to the possibility of steam cloud save messing up when it synched on closing, or some other such nonsense as a fluke.

well, started alan wake up again, with the same off time period of a few weeks. save is several hours behind. getting vibes of gfwl now...

so i decide to try some other ones that i've played more recently....civ 5, probably 10 hours of progress gone. binary domain (which i finished last week) is now an hour or two from the ending. wtf is going on?!?!

Are you letting Steam sync to cloud after you exit the game, or are you just shutting your computer off immediately. Look at the game in your library and don't do anything to it until it's says it's finished syncing.

Regardless of that, if there's a desynchronization between local and cloud saves Steam asks you which one you want to use and gives you time details of each save, so that shouldn't be an issue of that kind even if he turns off the comuter immediately.

It's been a long time since I played an arcade flight sim. Last one was Ace Combat 3 on the PS2, years ago. Is there any good one's on Steam that offer the same dramatic stories on the battlefield? Not the HAWX series please.
There's Wings of Prey. Not really a bombastic Hollywood story like Pearl Harbor, but it has both sim and arcade modes, along with a campaign

What's wrong with HAWX? I haven't played the second game, but I kind of liked the first game for what it was.

I don't want any money but I'd be willing to do a trade for something in your inventory I might not have. Only reason I am doing it this way is I kind of want to keep homefront and try it out. But I'd trade for something decent or at least in the same range as Homevront. XP

Kinda getting sick of this. Too many games had been restricted in my region this last few months. Oh well, will get it once it's dirt cheap and the eventual BS is passed.
