Eliza is by far my second favorite. I just want Minette in the most because I like her gameplay ideas and the game needs 1 cute type character at least there are literally NONE, which is kind of funny actually.
Well, Alex has been there for quite some time now. I have no issue with Annie other than her palette, which is saturated with too much green. I usually prefer the default ones, but if she makes it, I'll have to use the alternatives and loathe every moment of the story mode.

Annie was originally in my top 4 and then I sat down and thought through what I suspect people would vote for as their secondary after picking their most favorite (least hated for those whose most favorite didn't advance)
It is because of secondary votes she'll have mediocre results in spite of the sizable plurality she has for first picks.

Aeon does offer a lot to the picture. The idea of summoning characters that will more than likely never exist as playable characters is probably the most interesting. Manipulating Skullgirl Umbrella, for instance, would be quite the spectacle.

In the end, I voted for Beowulf and Eliza. I let my girlfriend pick, so meh.
Last time I thought Aeon had a low chance of making top 8. I won't let a faulty assumption for that ranking cloud my judgement this time.
She, Isaac, and Eliza form the whole trinity where gameplay, looks and story potential is maximized to be appealing.
Every character including Stanley are weak (or are perceived to be weak) in either the looks or gameplay department. Beowulf and Stanley are going to squeeze out Minette, Panzerfaust and Annie with secondary votes.
Eliza is eating all of Aeon's votes; she won't get further. And if they both goth to the next round they would cannibalize each other; it would be dumb for fans of either character to not try to get the other one out.
Besides, Aeon is the only character Mike Z has specifically spoken against.

If Annie, Eliza and Aeon all get to the final round, the male character will take it; Eliza and Aeon have enough crossover appeal to let the male character win if it's only the two of them, too. The only scenario without an obvious winner is the Annie/Eliza/Beowulf/Issac line-up.
The final round is not really about haters; it's more about not losing votes to a character with similar appeal. Aeon could cannibalize enough votes from Eliza to let Beowulf/Issac win, for example. If Annie, Aeon and Eliza all make it, they don't have a chance.
AnimeGAF is lousy and Bulbasaurless, do not listen to the victims of solar beam.

I settled for voting for Annie and Beowulf this time around.
I think that if only Annie or Minette makes it to the final around, their fans are likely to converge around the other. Not guaranteed, but likely. It's in my best interest to see at least one of them succeed, because it improves Feng's odds for the second character vote(feeeeeeeng), and the best way for one of them to succeed is to not have a split in the final round.
By the same token, if Minette makes it and Annie doesn't, I'll be voting for her to improve Feng's odds.
I voted Beowulf because I lost a bet. But if he makes it in, I have no problem with that; his playstyle has a lot of potential and I think he provides contrast to the forthcoming cast in a way that Panzerfaust wouldn't(though I would have voted for Panzerfaust had I not lost the bet). Big Band is already someone who is going to be pretty large compared to most of the cast, as well as modified to the point where you don't identify with him immediately as human. Panzerfaust touches on all of that(albeit in a different way), while Beowulf is more vanilla/Ordinary Guy-esque(just at an immediate glance, not saying that's all he is). I think adding his 'vanilla' would be great for contrast at this point.
I like Eliza a lot; I think she would normally be on my shortlist. Buuuut I don't want to see her in the game yet.
It's sort of a backwards-opinion, but I seriously believe that L0 will get funding for a full-fledged sequel down the line, and when they do, Eliza seems like she will be a lock due to how story-relevant she is. That's not to say that voting for her is a waste now, but it's less important/interesting to me.
I'd rather put my vote towards edge cases that may have not made it under normal circumstances... so for example, I think Stanley getting votes would have a pretty decent payoff; I can't see getting him in-game being a priority for a while(if at all) otherwise compared to the story-relevant cast, since he's only on the list because of fan support.
Anyway, due to the above fuzzy logic I don't see myself voting for Eliza or Aeon in this contest or the next one, even if I do like a lot of things about them.
