FUSE is gold, first discs manufactured

What a bunch of sad gamers. The only real shame is that there will be an EA online pass, thus killing any chance of me ever even trying the game. They would have done the same thing if Sony exclusive so who cares.

I might have payed attention to OVERSTRIKE!

Why can't I buy this game with my money?

Ask your little brother and then punch him in the face.

Also, Irony is Insomniac claiming a 4 player Stealth co-op game would never work. The day Fuse goes gold, a 4-Player Stealth Co-Op game is featured at the top of steam charts. Ain't life hilariously tragic?

no online pass. no microtransactions. no day one dlc

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again now. The hate for this game around here is so intense and so irrationally strong it gives the impression of hidden agendas.

oh hey dubstep trailer that doesn't really tell me anything other than "gears of war with powers"

wait no PC? nm

giant bomb quick look might be good, it's the only entertainment i'm getting from this game

I hope they go back to a mascot franchise next gen, it can be a new one or a new ratchet to go with the movie. not hyped for this at all.

I think the hate stems from Insomniac changing the whole art direction of the game from Overstrike(a game with plenty of personality) to Fuse(a generic looking third person shooter).
I'm still going to get it if the game is good though.

I've actually warmed up to this game since watching some of the footage on Twitch. I'm only going to get it when it goes down in price due to money issues.

I <3 Insomniac. The Resistance games were fun, and so were the R&C games (sans Full Frontal Assault, which I completely forgot about till today). So, I have faith that Fuse is going to be fun as well.

And its perfect timing. And its an Insomniac co-op focused shooter. This gets a day one perch if only for the Resistance 2 co-op feels of yore.

Still in, and looking forward to it.

The only agenda is that Insomniac pulled a massive bait and switch from a project with a ton of potential to a dour TPS which we have seen plenty of. And then said it was because 12-year olds said they wouldn't play Overstrike and a 4-Player Co-Op stealth game wouldn't work. Never mind the reveal trailer using a hilariously inappropriate song (Using a song about class warfare and society in Britain as the music to show off your Sci-Fi shooter. RELEVANT!) and insomniacs dismissal to the criticisms that they wussed out being that"It will be fun! We swear!"

Don't bait and switch your consumers and you won't get hatred. Simple.

i mean, i always want independent devs to do well, generally

but launching a new IP only on consoles that are on their way out through EA Partners with the legacy of anti-hype this game has seen...

just don't see it succeeding

Man the hate towards this game is way too strong. Personally, I really don't have an interest in this and am waiting patiently for the next Ratchet on PS4 *cough* tellthemtohurryjstevenson*cough* but people seem to actually want this bomb

You usually get baited to buy something before the switch happens - thus the outrage.

We know what this game is about even now, weeks before release. There's no bait and switch.

There was a change in design direction, definitely, and many here think they made a huge mistake, that's for damn sure. But I don't see any trickery or deception at work here.

I wonder could there be any excuse for Fuse to have any hiccups on PS3? And, was development platform primarily 360?

Clicked on thread and got what i expected first 20-ish posts until i came upon a somewhat positive post, damn the hate for this game is strong, i´m not interested in it (even though i love R&C), but damn, hope it does better than people expect it to.

Love Insomniac, but the last thing I thought they'd do after leaving Sony was make a military shooter again. Their great art from R&C seems like it's going to waste. Game could still be cool, but shooters are a tough genre to stand out in.

better buy it then

And then everyone bought Fuse and every Insomniac game after became gritty shooters, including the upcoming Ratchet and Clank movie.

The end.

Seriously though, the gameplay looks alright, but the presentation is so bland I don't really feel like I'd want to play it. It just reminds me of every gritty shooter that's on the market right now. It's ridiculous how much better Overstrike looked when it came to style and tone.

The amount of shallow hate has gotten stale. I don't like the new direction and I think the way the new art was shown, in addition to the media that came out at that time, was handled poorly (and obviously not targeted at me).
It's still a co-op focused shooter with a good team behind it. Just needs a good marketing push behind it gearing to to release.

I'm not sold on the depth of the combat from what they've put out or based on the Live Streams, but I'm sure I'll pick it up cheap or rent it with a friend.

But I thought you wanted the game to make money?

Preordered and ready for me to play when I cat-sit for my parents.

There's no need for some people to come into a thread of a game you clearly aren't interested in and shit all over it just so you can be part of the 'hey I have a grudge against Insomniac Games' club.

They pretty consistently release good games and are a friendly welcoming open company. Yet all a lot of people can do is wish this game failure and wish harm upon Insomniac, that's sad =/

I wonder how many of you would be begging for Insomniac to come back if they collapsed and some third rate developer got to make shitty R&C games.

I'm buying to support insomniac (even though they stopped focusing on ratchet infavour of that resistance trash)

but with that box art and name, easily the biggest FLOP of the spring/summer

I'm kinda feeling a part of GAF is wishing for this game to bomb/suck, because the resulting drama would give them more entertainment than a game they won't buy.

I'm personally not really interested in the game, but I hope it's good and sells decently.

I am kind of bummed about no pc. That's practically all I buy nowadays, and I probably would have picked it up. But I guess it just didn't work out in the spreadsheets.

Does the game have any unique movement mechanics, or anything like that? Or is the hook mainly the weaponry, and the co-op aspects?

Regardless, looking forward to trying the demo. The general feel of how the game controls will likely make or break it for me.

This game is being sent to die. Such a shame.

I wouldn't say that. EA has tried to position the game into an empty window (the only game of any note releasing close to it is TLoU), and they'll likely do some advertising. Whether or not any of that will make a difference is another story.

I think the problem right now is that there haven't really been any "Wow!" footage. Look at recent games like Bioshock, Tomb Raider, and so on. They all had (IMO) very impressive trailers early on that helped to build buzz. Fuse hasn't really had that.
