I have been to the showfloor again and on the playstation booth there are signs hanging down from the ceiling above every segment of the stand for the games shown there. (e.g. PSVITA area with signs for Tearaway, Invizimals, etc. or Wonderbook Walk with dinosaurs above the "casual" area.) then I realized that there are two signs hanging down above the PS4 area that are still empty. Maybe they have just not yet produced or were missing but I could also imagine that two PS4 games will be announced and shown and or playable at the booth. Just my observation.. could mean nothing..

No, all major publishers are constructing since several days/last week. (except of nintendo which started yesterday). Hanging stuff from the ceiling will be done first because you can hardly reach the suspension points later on. Playstation, EA and Acitivision are most advanced but also seem to have the most ambitious constructions.
And i do not know where to put it because not related to playstation but there is for sure something going on with EA/MS and FIFA. They are not only located directly beside of each other but EA(!) has a huge XBONE banner on their booth and are showing FIFA banner only with XBONE on it. And the text on them is hidden with black fabric.

Maybe Fifa Street is exclusive to Xbox One or something. They've already announced the exclusive DLC, could also be that. Having said that, if the Xbox One does come out later than the PS4 this year (the PS4 in time for Fifa 14's release, the XO not), and in 2014 in several European countries, EA partnered with the wrong team on this franchise because the XO is going to get slaughtered and Fifa is going to sell gangbusters on the PS4.

Yes i think so. Cannot be anything major. Espespecially as Playstation is stil sponsor of e.g. Champions League until 2015. Just found it strange that EA is using Advertising Artwork from MS for XBONE on their booth.

Full fledged games when they are talking about inFamous and The Order (next year games)? 99.99% no chance at all.
I like the idea of ND leaving behind its old franchises each console generation. Let Bend continue the Uncharted franchise on Vita.You just got The Last of Us, not new enough?
Uncharted is a big IP man, they aren't going to relegate it full time to their dying mobile platform.
Its not like the PS2 days, Sony needs its big IPs it can't rely on 3rd party exclusives anymore - ND has two teams for a reason.

Would love to see Sony do a new RPG or an open world type game. I know they have Infamous already and I can't wait for that but another would be nice.
If its any consolation its rumoured GGs other team is working on a WRPG style game
And Verendus said they are in the process up setting up a JRPG team - very far away though.
This. Naughty Dog has been so good at presenting stories and characters that I want them to make exciting new stuff in this regard.

I look at it this way, ND is the golden goose. Uncharted was great, and so were Jak and Crash, but I think part of what makes ND interesting is that they aren't tied down by their franchises the way Bungie was or Nintendo is currently.
Plus Uncharted being Vita exclusive could be good for Vita and Vita owners like myself.

For me, Sony will deliver by default if they announce 4 new games that look nearly as good as Puppeteer, Tearaway, rain and Killzone: Mercenary did when they were revealed at last year's conference.
Probably one of the best things to happen to the industry.
I actually don't find that hard to believe, it's so predictable that Microsoft will go after FIFA for the European markets.
OT - I really hope they announce that Getaway has been put back into development. Last I heard the game was 'put on the shelf', maybe it was due to technological limitations with PS3... I'm dreaming

Yes the co-marketing is not the part I was surprised by. More that EA is advertising the XBONE itself at their booth.
Why's that surprising? At EA conference they proudly displayed 'content coming first to Xbox One' on the BF4 presentation, demoed their biggest game (BF4) on-stage on Xbox One's, and deliberately dis-acknowledged a PS4 version of Garden Warfare. Suffice to say Micrsoft has a 'special' relationship going on with EA.
D-don't get my hopes up.

Think you are right. Was just the huge XBOX banner without any game or so linked to it which was new. never seen something like this on gamescom. Ubisoft is doing the same with AC and WD with only showing PS3 and PS4 as plattforms but they do not hang a 50m² PS4 advertisment at their booth.

A next gen Getaway sequel would be epic!
Side note, no DRM any more, wonder how much Microsoft is ponying up for the EA shoulder stroking?

You know... If Naughty Dog didn't do an Uncharted 4 until later in the generation, I'd be so happy.
Imagine if they only announced a new IP, it'd leave everyone chomping at the bit for more Uncharted - I don't want Uncharted to go away for 5 years, but if it happened I'd appreciate seeing those characters again, even more.

I think this was always a given. Sony needs a big AAA recognisable IP for next holiday season, Uncharted is one of their biggest franchises and will help boost sales.
I'm more surprised at the rumoured TLOU port.

Moore is at EA now, and Mattrick was formerly at EA before MS. Doubt think any of Sony's deals are even comparable, AFAIK.

If you think about it ND "new ip" every gen wasn't something that remarkable, Sony didnt own the Crash IP so they made Jak, which wasn't that successful so Sony could let them move on.
But now, Uncharted and The Last of US are some of the most well recognized and successful games on their platform, they aren't going anywhere - more Uncharted is pretty much guarenteed imo.
