If you are from europe than you should know it's called football...
I was being derogatory.
I'm actually from London.

If you don't like how this forum is, PM the mods. Enough of this "wah wah stop picking on me." It infests every thread from multiple people.
When people ask me why I think the industry would be better off without microsoft, i'll just point to this post. They don't compete by making better products and software, they compete by buying it from others.
This. It's very annoying, & incredibly stupid.
I agree, though I suspect that Xbox fanboys will always defend Microsoft no matter what, probably because, "It's an console made for America."
Pretty big news. Fifa being bundled with the XBOX one will give it a huge boost in sales will pretty much ensure it once again dominates in the UK.
Lets not get crazy here, if Fifa was an outright X1 exclusve you'd have a point, but it's not.
You do realise the PS4 FIFA bundle is cheaper ?
EA are doing this so MS don't get hammered in Europe.

Shareholders. They already hate the hardware division and Xbox. MS spending an unlimited amount of money to buy a victory but lose shit loads money would be a losing proposition for the board.
I said this before, but some people might say "Well, I do want Dead Rising 3 and Halo, too." it may not come down to a matter of cost, but more so specific games that people don't want to miss out on. If someone is already dead set on getting an Xbox One at its current pricepoint, then price really won't be the deciding factor. They'll already want an Xbox One for their own reasons, and then the possibility of also getting a free copy of Fifa 14 as a pack in at no extra cost is just a cool bonus. And if you're one of those gamers that loves Fifa, then it's even better.
This. Microsoft's shareholders will force them to close down their gaming division if Microsoft were to try that. The Xbox division has already suffered a $4.2 Billion loss from the Original Xbox & about $3 Billion off of moneyhatting timed exclusives & RROD put together for the Xbox 360.
TALES FROM MY ASS: GENERALIZING BULLSHIT LEVEL = OMEGAI agree, though I suspect that Xbox fanboys will always defend Microsoft no matter what, probably because, "It's a American console."
to the people thinking this will make a difference: A ps4 with fifa 14 is still cheaper, exactly how is this going to make a difference ?
i mean, aside from the fact that everyone owning a current gen console can also pick this up, as the "next gen" version is hardly a showpiece title one desperately wants a next gen console for. You know, when all of your 'softcore' friends are opting for the cheap version anyway...
Come to think of it, FIFA is a 'softcore' targeted title anyway, i can hardly imagine the hardcore early adaptors getting a stiffy for a packed in footy game that gets released anually.
Seriously, how is this going to make a difference ?
Is it actually confiremd that FIFA14 is bundled?

The trouble is they claim the console is sold out. Everything they make will be sold based on pre order figures they claim. So if it boosts sales it will only boost complaints as people will have to wait to get it and people want FIFA now not 3 or 4 months after it has been released!Pretty big news. Nope. 2222 posts for a rumour that probably isn't even that likely. It still might in fact turn out to be an entirely different "unique exclusive". lolIs it actually confiremd that FIFA14 is bundled?
He's completely spinning the 360s numbers, and has done so a number of times. The 360 has been about a Billion+ in profits* for the majority of this gen. It has been so successful in fact that the division still turns quite a bit of profit after Microsoft hangs billions of dollars of losses from Zune, Kin, and Windows Phone payments to Nokia in the Xbox Division. Is that true? Wow

It may be have been mentioned here before but this move is to obviously put the two consoles close to price parity for the consumer still undecided between the two. But that will be mute point if he/she only has one console to choose from in October, assuming Sony manage to release the PS4 a few weeks earlier than the Xbox.
It's more expensive to buy the XB1 w/ Fifa free.
This would be good, except there's nothing stopping GAME or <insert Euro retailer here> from simply 'bundling' FIFA 14 on PS4 with the console for 25 quid less, and make no loss on either.

The 360 has been very successful for Microsoft.
Just wait till you get replies saying that Kinect is negative value and that Microsoft should be paying them to use the Kinect. hurrr durrralmost 20€ more expensive, so not that much (plus you're getting Kinect)
No problemIt didn't seem right, cheers.
When the price difference is only £25 for the console plus FIFA, it then makes the Kinnect for only £25 extra look like good value.
NFL TV thing in the US and FIFA in Europe... going for the lowest common denominator in a very obvious way.

You could argue casuals don't give a shit about this stuff, and you'd probably be right. But it will be mainly hardcore gamers buying these consoles at launch. Hell, I doubt many casuals have £430 to spend on a games console lol.

So it wouldn't really have hurt if they allocated, lets say, 100,000 Xbox Ones to those countries? Enough to satisfy the big fans, but no terrible impact on supply in other countries.I know it's a bummer to my fellow EU gaffers affected by this buy, with all respect, the most important EU countries sales-wise: United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, and Austria. the rest: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, won't make much of a difference.
I don't know where people are getting the £25 figure from. It'll likely be closer to £40. That said, if you ask a lot of the hardcore folk why they're picking the PS4 over the XO, aside from price it's the hardware performance advantage. So whilst Kinect seems better value with a bundled game, its still more expensive for what is ultimately a weaker console hardware specification wise.

with all respect but american football is shit lol

For people on the fence, it lowers the price difference for a big chunk of the audience, making the choice harder. For people waiting on a price drop, a free game may be just the incentive they need to pre-order. It isn't going to completely reverse all trends, but FIFA is the most popular game annually in a few countries, it isn't just another annual franchise. It's bigger than any of Sony or MS' exclusives, and next gen sports games have always been big incentives for hardware upgrades (except on Nintendo's consoles).
Madden is going to be just as big a deal when it releases on PS4/One in the states, sports fans want the best version of their game.
i pre ordered xbox one from amazon US. as its cheaper. i hope i don't end up stuck with Madden lol.
with all respect but american football is shit lol
£349 + £55 = £404.
New console = games back up to the RRP not discounted.
In fact the price of FIFA seems to be £59; meaning £408; £17 difference.
And Spain has less sales then the Benelux. Especially since they have 25% unemployment (50% among the xbone target demographic).
Is that not a place holder price? No way any store is going to charge £59 for the game. No way. You can quote me on that.
uhm you should know that Spain is one of the most important markets worlwide
Yea in like an hourIsn't Microsoft and EA's conferences soon?
Wii U games were being charged at £50 at launch. The retail stores can get away with it. This happens at the launch of every console that has ever been released; stores stop discounting the games. Smaller selection if available games; know they will all sell well etc.
EA have said that their RRP IS £55. I doubt £59 will be charged but £55 is very likely.
