Interesting, so Crytek possibly isn't even involved as heavily in the making of the MP as previously thought? I was always more looking forward more to the SP, but this is an interesting bit of info that was unearthed.

Crytek (main German studio) has never worked on multiplayer I think. OT but who made Crysis Wars again? It was good!

I think other people have said this before, but this is why you shouldn't just be shoehorning a damn MP component into everything just for the hell of it. Some games are better off not having an MP component at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm still hoping that the MP turns out pretty solid, at least as a fun little distraction.

All that needs to be done to fix MP is remove the slow mo executions, keep them in right where they belong: SP.

Yea, I think they should just do away with the slo mo in MP altogether. Just let it flow really fast, and have the particular executions trigger no different than a finisher in the batman games, except let them happen with zero slowdown.

Man, that SP footage looks so fucking awesome. I hope they upload it right away, because it really does look great.

They need to fix the animations too. They just don't link together very well.

I think they link together very well, but it depends on the player. A lot of the animation weirdness just comes down to bugs, but there's enough evidence, I feel, that demonstrates that the animations can blend together quite well with one another.

Nah this looks a lot less stylised than God of War. I think the AA is is (currently) better on GoW as well which makes it look smoother.

This video is for the SP campaign. The other videos you watched are for the MP, the part that sucks in RYSE.

There's even MP footage where the combat at times manages to look really good with a skilled player, and that's already available online.

Also, there's SP footage from back during E3 where when the developers took control and showed more of what the game was about, the combat genuinely looked a whole lot better. Those videos are also available online. Basically, I don't see anything in this new video that all current videos didn't clearly indicate was possible when bugs weren't destroying the experience and the player actually knew what they were doing.

I agree, the single player actually looks really good (at least, in my opinion). I bet it wouldn't get as much flak about it's gameplay if they had showed this most recent video earlier since it covers some of the combat mechanics.

I wouldn't. The GAF hive mind is almost always wrong about games. Too many anti-MS/anti-Xbox One folks on this board who are very vocal and do their utmost to shit on as many Xbox One related threads as possible.
