Now try imagining it without having your console preorder secured and banging your head against the wall thinking what to do and where to get it on day one.

And now that I mention it - anyone got any idea how and where to get PS4 on day one in Germany? I know Amazon's sold out, as are many other big name shops (Gamestop, Media Markt & Saturn). Any chance of getting a console in some other, smaller store? Or even in Gamespot - what are the chances that they'll have some consoles for sale in their stores, not dependant on preorders?

I didn't bother to preorder the ps4 because there isnt any games that I like. Not only that, I will be overseas starting the 13th so I will miss out on the launch anyway lol.

Gamestop online is also sold out, you can try out the shops though.
MediaMarkt might be also possible, I know that they will have a small amount for the shops, but like I said it's limited.
So you better get up early that day and visit MediaMarkt,Müller,Saturn and all the other chains.
Don't even try smaller shops unless you definitly know they get consoles.

Thanks for all the info! Now, the only problem is that I don't live in Germany, but I've got an aunt there, so I was thinking of visiting her around 29th November if there's any chance of getting PS4. I should probably ask her to check in couple of those shops near her and see if they will have any consoles on the "first come first serve" basis on day one before buying my bus/plane ticket tho.
