Yes, the world feels empty. From what i gathered, they kinda wanted that after some point in the developpement.
The game is all about the journey so you need to believe in this journey by crossing huge land masses with you car. Hopefully, there are many great environnements to look for.

No it is not.. Tabata calmy explained the reason for the delay and how the game had already reached master. Again, that was 2-3 months ago.

I just wonder how much the performance has come along since the info was first leaked... Obviously it won't be released until it's playable, but it'd be nice if it was performing well when it's finally released. I'd love an update on if they're gonna hit 30fps.

Will not read leak, waited 10+ years so I this wine will be savored as it's supposed to be. If Kagari has faith then I'm not even stressed.
It sounds like your typical final fantasy story.
When those spoilers came out I knew they were going to be just that. What I don't get still is why people are surprised lol, what kind of story you expected, some kind of convoluted Nojima story? We already knew he had fuck all to do with this game and seemingly one of their goals was to have a really easy to understand story. Turns out that's exactly what we're getting, something basic and unsurprising anyone would understand

It says the reddit leak is right on the beginning but got some details wrong.
Also that when the leak said it was only playable for 2 hours on the PS4 in June was technically true, but only because they were just starting to port over the assets from PC to consoles. The game is in a far more playable state on development pcs.
The thread had some gossip. They were saying Nomura basically had fuck all to show 2-3 years after FF13 concluded, then wanted to make a trilogy instead of a single game. He got booted from the project.

It certainly sounds like some things they've done before, that's for sure!
Apparently back in May the game wasn't yet ported to consoles and only ran for like two hours on PS4, but leaks that have come out since then have said better things about the game's performance apparently
Are we going to believe him? Man I don't believe anyone until I play the game myself, that's mandatory for any game out there, let alone one as troubled as FFXV.

You guys do know that while the early leak might have some truth for the story, there is also a bunch of BS mixed with it. He even outright said that FFXVI will only be made if FFXV is a success.
The original KH story summarized in 10 sentences will sound like shit. It is no way to experience the story of a game, let alone use it to judge the whole game.

I'm concerned that they thought it was a good idea to develop the whole game on a high end PC first, then "worry" about porting to consoles at the last minute. No matter what other bad decisions they've made, this one seems like the worst.

I wouldn't say good or bad... More like disappointingly simplistic and shallow, for a Final Fantasy game.

Don't know how anyone could tell you that based on a plot summary. Many people on this board love FF7's story, and a plot summary for that makes it sound like the worst piece of shit ever.

the game was releasing in mere weeks, master had to be ready by now so yes I do believe him.. all they were doing is optimizing for consoles, thats the last step in development and it does not surprise me that in the early days of this process it was a complete fucking mess on console.. but thats besides the point.. its been months since and they got far enough there that a master version of the game would be ready.. he delayed it to really finish that process in time for it to be the disc version and not just a patch.and im also speculating they delayed it 2 months instead of just maybe 1 so they could try to support neo.
That is actually true. Swear to god not trolling. FFXIII might look better in retrospective. Time will tell as always but right now that's how I feel.

I don't know. I want the XVI that Verendus described, about the game being an evolution of XII by having a massive party of characters all controlled at the same time, and the game being directed by Ito. That sounds like it would require some budget; but maybe not. I guess graphics are what takes money, I guess.
It hard to say since it's not a detailed outline of the story overall. I think it's fine depending on how it's executed. Again the 1st leak may be wrong due to contradicting things from other leaks. Hell the leak been called over negative.
I mean I liked it enough to let everyone else know I was hyped to see this footage. A leak confirming one thing doesn't confirm the others IMO because we don't have the game in our hands ourselves. Once we actually get to that point then we can start confirming/deconfirming all these super leaks.

With all of this, I think I'm at the point where I'll watch the new trailers/gameplay and just wait for the game to come out. You already have some people taking a definitive stance on the story's quality based on like 10 lines of writing. This is too much for me lol

Leaker also said a reason for the delay is because Sony is being really strict with them about the Neo version and he wouldn't be surprised to see this slip into 2017.

thats literally how it has always worked for them...
Tabata has been a pretty honest guy up until now.. the game was releasing in a few weeks plus it would have to go gold weeks in advance so they can print copies.. why wouldnt it have gone gold already?again it may have been shit 2-3 months ago, but why would you believe that to be the case still? everyone is playing the master copy of the game at gamescom so its not like you wont find out very soon.
