This go around on the Microsoft promising PC support merry-go-round has already gone to shit huh?

Not that anyone could expect otherwise. Their promises of "first-party" support has always been hollow.
And I think they're leaving money on the table, every AAA game of theirs could sell gangbusters on PC but at the same time it's possible that the Xbox One's image would suffer.

That's fine by me, they lose out on my money because I sure as hell won't ever buy an Xbox One again. I'm done with the Xbox.

It sounds to me like Call of Duty Online, a F2P game based on a popular franchise using assets from older games, only released in an eastern market and only on PC. I certainly wouldn't call it a joke, but a sidestep to get a name in other markets.
