Agree here. One reason I always go with Sony consoles is that I'm a fan of the GoW series. Now that this game is apparently being built with thd PS4k in mind I'm a little disappointed. Sure the PS4 will get a version but what sacrifices will be made? Will it be a locked 60fps on the PS4K but a variable (maybe even 30fps) version for the og PS4?I'm with you here. I bought a ps4 for God of war in mind because it's one of my favorite series ever. I just love the idea of killing God and giant monsters. Sure bloodborne was really really good but it's literally the only Sony exclusive game I have played on the ps4 besides EDF. Will be a little salty if I have to spend 500 dollars to play it when I already spend 400
I know people are excited about Cory Barlog coming back to GoW4, but man, I'm worried because I still think Cory messed up Kratos character so bad in GoW2. Kratos is actually a pretty sympathetic character in GoW1. but GoW2 is the one who change him for the worse.
and GoW3 had to carry that baggage since it's a direct continuation from GoW2.
I fear Cory will just double down on Kratos character from GoW2 rather than trying to redeem him in GoW4
His ashes and chains are gone, good observation .Did anyone notice that he no longer has the chains bound to his arms as if he was freed from his damnation:
I think he is now powerless, longing for starting over in this part of the world to carve his name among those who never knew his position before.

Just caught up to the thread. All this GOW4 info is very exciting and interesting.
I wonder if it's going to be unveiled at E3 this year.

It will absolutely be unveiled at E3 2016. Probably the conference finale.
The question that remains is: teaser trailer or full blowout trailer with story and gameplay?
Since when people have kratos? Excited for this.
Noticed it a shared sentiment on this site alot but might be a vocal minority. Definitely notice among some in the media as well.Since when people have kratos? Excited for this.
Spill it!Ya'll are getting too hung up on Kratos.
With Cory Barlog back in the driving seat I cannot wait for some more God of War, I have loved each game in the series including the PSP and mobile games so more Kratos is fine by me.
I'm guessing reveal at E3 and release in March 2017.

I doubt this is real but I am so ready for bearded Kratos to kill some Norse bitch gods. Thor you're up first.
Why would Kratos be angry at the Norse gods, those guys just party in Valhalla all day
The only thing I want from a new God of War is that they do away with the chained weapons.
Now knowing that the setting is probably norse mythology, they really should have a more close and personal type of fighting be the norm.
I want a Kratos that isn't the old Kratos. Similar to what happens with Link in Zelda. That preserves the iconic character. That also makes it easiest for them to just continue on to different mythologies however they want rather than trying to come up with nonsense reasons for the old Kratos to appear in them.

That Kratos pic looks like a character you could make in a Souls game lol.
We really need to know what happened to Kratos after the end of GOW3..
This thread did inspire to hook up my PS3 and fire up God of War 3. Game is putting a lot of my PS4 games to shame lol.
