That stuff about the nudes is not cool, but other than that this is not all that bad. I don't think he deserves this negative attention. He's not running for president, he's just a normal citizen

I'm really glad no one has dragged up some of my gaf posts

I'm not outraged, but I'm disappointed -- but not surprised -- by GIzmodo, basically picking up the torch of Gawker and publicly shaming people for off handed comments made throughout their life online.

I've made 20,000 posts on NeoGaf. And I bet a solid 1% of those are shitty posts who make me look like a shitty person. Maybe 2% are decent posts who make me look like a good person. And 97% are posts that don't make me look any particular way. But if I fell into 5seconds of internet fame, I'm sure that somebody could go back through my posts, find that 1% and then easily make me look like an asshole.

I think we basically all fall into that category in some way or another.

Let's just go ahead and give him his own political talk show. Call it "Undecided" and have him answer the kind of hard hitting questions people still on the fence need, free of political spin and 30 second soundbites. Questions like "when is the election?" and "what are the names of the two people running? And, be specific..."

Because it was Gizmodo who started the witch hunting, and even the first couple of pages of GAF, which is heavily left leaning, tended to be on the "yeah, fuck that guy" train.

Alternatively, you sure as heck don't see this on Fox News (besides the generic AP article).

When I clicked on this thread I honestly expected some 4chan level stuff. The Jennifer Lawrence comments are gross especially for an adult to make but the Martin comments are pretty standard for non-black moderates. Plus the other comments on his account make him seem like a decent guy.

I don't feel bad for the Bone because he wasn't hacked/choose to make the Jennifer Lawrence comments on an account linked to his name. People gotta realize that the web isn't the wild west anymore.

TBH even the Jennifer Lawrence quote is more dumb joke than anything. The stuff before the butthole sentence is pretty even-handed. I lol'ed at the joke actually.

I'm more annoyed with the tone of "is K-Bone a bad terrible no-good person" than the "Look at some of this other stuff K-Bone said".

I don't blame Martin for reacting the way he did. He didn't deserve to die. That's different from saying a jury could come to a conclusion that Zimmerman acted unlawfully.

I also accept how it was possible that the jury, within the confines of the law, reached the decision they did. Understanding this is still far different from declaring Trayvon Martin's death "was justified."

Seriously. Like I said in another topic, he's got some weird fetishes that went public in a way he didn't anticipate. He seems like a pretty decent guy otherwise. He doesn't deserve this kind of scrutiny.

Agreed. Even his explanation of why he is undecided sort of robs me of the ability to think too negatively of him. This entire situation and the exploration into his character it's fueling is ironically doing more for my opinion of his apparent character than his initial meme status.

Yeah like he's obviously not the most perfect man in the world but these comments seem pretty milquetoast by internet standards. This is an unnecessary beat up.

I would never accept fame even if it was handed to me on a silver platter presented to me by a goddess made of money-incrusted diamond dildos. Fuck that! I will simply endure the short time the public spends calling me an asshole for rejecting fame... this too shall pass.

I'm far too human to allow the public to make me a thing of interest. There's a lot to love but people will see enough of themselves in me to quickly find something to hate.

Who ever Ken Bone really "is" was sure to be someone that something objectionable would be quickly found and you know people love a great tragedy.

Yeah, while there'll be people put off by his comments this is fairly tame shit. He thinks George Zimmerman is an asshole, but was justified in shooting the person that was attacking him at the time. Snap, what a rare opinion to hold.

He looked at leaked photos of one of the highest paid and glamorized female actors today. Tut tut, Mr. Bone: I can assure you most people averted their eyes.

AND he's possibly into a type of legal pornography involving women? Who is this monster?!

Him being used as a meme was played out almost immediately after he became a meme. I won't be upset if this leads to me to see less of him popping up on Instagram, but my opinion of him as a person hasn't changed. It was ballsy of him to use his normal Reddit account though.
