Typical Major Nelson statement.
Microsoft, I'm interested in buying your console, but you need to stop with the anti-consumer practices. Non-statement statements don't help your case.
Typical Major Nelson statement.
You have access to these corporate shills, right?
Ask some hard hitting fucking questions and keep asking until you get something that's a real, honest answer. Do us and you (journos) a favour.
Major Nelson 3 days ago said:We know there is some confusion around used games on Xbox One and wanted to provide a bit of clarification on exactly what weve confirmed today. While there have been many potential scenarios discussed, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail.
Beyond that, we have not confirmed any specific scenarios.
Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friends house should you choose to play your game at your friends house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile.
It sounds like they're doing the same things the PC has been doing for years already.
.That statement literally said nothing.
I'm starting to wonder if we'll get any answers even at E3.
I hope it works like this:
Well glad that's all cleared up then.
Why can't people just wait and hear what they have to say at E3. This angry mob mentality is growing old fast in here. Obviously they'll have answers during E3
Not even the same, sonys event was months ago and they didnt have five different people saying five different things. They fucked up and its pretty clear there is going to be a fee involved.

Buddies, here's the only thing I know about Microsoft and used games: Nobody hesitates to talk about good news.

"Retailers will be free to charge whatever they wish for pre-owned Xbox One games, but both Microsoft and publishers will take a percentage cut of every sale."

Official statement regarding used games on XBox One: We will disclose more information in the near future.
Is it too late to rehire Adam Orth and then fire him again? Maybe that will work?
It will work like this, and thats not a good thing.

- Why can't you take off the fanboy glasses and see that Microsoft has been going around and around with their statements regarding used games. They've put out contradictory statements and continue to keep quiet and say wait, when clearly an honest statement will clear up this whole mess.
So, nothing new then - everything exactly as negative as before.
We know you can trade/resell games into some arcane system that Microsoft is going to set up, and if you're a business that buys/sells those games you have to go through MS and pay publishers a fee (a cost surely passed on the consumers as well, naturally).
And we also know that this new system effectively kills lending, borrowing and renting, and there is once every 24 hour internet verification to use games.
So, thanks for clarifying that everything still sucks Microsoft.
This is not new. We already know used games will be allowed on the XBO. What we don't know is if there will be additional fees charged to play a used games.
