It was mentioned above that it does still include the theme... The best theme for PS4 by far, Midgar in the background with Aerith's theme playing...
Once you purchased the game, the theme will be available automatically in your theme settings?

Gonna get Duodecim to play it on my Vita. Is there anything that's only in the original game that also justifies buying it?
I'm playing XV right now, granted I'm only about 8 hours in and done a lot of side quests but so far it's really good. The combat is awesome and looks amazing. Recommended.

When I bought the game at launch, it downloaded at the same time as the game.
It deserves it's title as the best, most flawed game ever.
It was worth the purchase
It's worth it for the sale price IMO. I'm having fun with it. I've played a bunch of the sidequests and decent amount of the story since I got it for Christmas.

Loved it. Don't go in expecting a deep story but the combat is awesome, and the four main protagonists are cool!

I have a low attention span when it comes to games but I ended up putting over 100 hours into it. Something I haven't done since I was a kid. YMMV of course.

Didn't see it mentioned but all the Final Fantasy games on PC are also 50% off on SE's store and Steam.
And SE finally mostly fixed the library order on the numbered FF games. Lightning Returns and Type-0 seem out of place but otherwise they are actually in order.

Why not both? It's $8 and the remake is gonna take a long while to be fully available.
This way you'll be able to see what they've done to it, for better and for worse, when the remake releases too!

Don't believe so. Main reason I stick with the original PS1 version. The PS4 version has other bugs too.

It's got its issues but it's my favorite FF game. The cast and combat are great, and more than make up for the shortcomings.

I have both on Vita. Load times are still there. It is a bit shorter with the emulator settings enabled but still there.

That version of FFVIII is just a PS1 classic unfortunately. FFVII does though.
