He looks so stupid now, like he'd even fail at kidnapping Kevin Smith. Who knows, maybe that actually isn't Ted in the costume.

You know who was still compelling after the reveal?

The Reverse Flash.

How fucked up is it that Eobard ended up being better than Zolomon...

Speaking of Reverse Flash, I kind of think the finale might be Flash and Reverse Flash versus Zoom. I don't think that Reverse Flash episode was just a one-off episode.

Only applies to Wellsobard though. Actual Eobard is kinda lame, like when they brought him back in S2. Tom Cavanaugh's performance is like 90% of what makes that character compelling.

Well the big comic book team up was Barry and Wally vs Reverse Flash and Zoom.

He was still better than post-reveal Zoom. But without Well's influence on Eobard, RF is basically just a regular crazy villain and without the emotional complexities that's just not as fun.

I'd like to see that in the show but Wally isn't a speedster yet and I kind of dig the idea that Flash and Reverse Flash might have to team up to stop Zoom. The convoluted way I'd write the idea into the story is that Reverse Flash returns back to 2016 in order to kill Barry (because he knows what era he's from), and Zoom decides to go after Reverse Flash because he needs more speed. This prompts Flash and Reverse Flash to team up because neither of them can take out Zoom on their own, and if Reverse Flash dies then Cisco basically gets erased out of existence due to the timeline screwup.

I do have to agree with this though, Wellsobard > Eobard

I think everyone is jumping the gun a little by saying zoom isn't as good post-reveal. We've literally seen nothing yet since the reveal so they could knock it out of the park for all we know. Also I'm just not as salty about the reveal as some others are so I'm excited to see where they take it. Beyond all that though I'm just excited to hear more Tony Todd. He's been fantastic as the voice of zoom.

Did I miss an episode?

To the best of my knowledge, the last episode ended with the Zoom reveal. Meaning we've had at most 3 to 5 seconds of post-reveal Zoom.

Are you basing all this on spoilers or something?

They haven't given us any reason to care about Jay and with that, no reason to care about the reveal.

It also seems to fly in the face of what Jay did, and of course, it is kinda the same what happened last time. Only they trust this guy even more.

been slowly paying less and less attention to this show, but who is the guy with the metal mask supposed to be?

also why is it complicated that zoom
offed his doppleganger?

The post episode interviews confusingly imply that the Jay Garrick we met who was heroic is also Zoom and not a doppelgänger. But we see he is. It's a confusing mess.

Reverse Flash was a mystery that gave us questions, but each reveal added to the character and clarified rather than confused.

I love Smith's daily updates

Me and my hero. I got to "direct" #TheFlash himself yesterday and shoot the suit! The costume looks breathtaking in real life but it's nothing without the wearer. And that wearer is the great @grantgust - who was a joy to watch work. The story of @cwtheflash is the journey of #BarryAllen - so you have to care about Barry for the show to work at all. The beauty of this marriage of performer and part is that #grantgustin brings a vulnerability and humanity to Barry which elevates a series that could be written off by the uninitiated as "that show where the guy runs fast" to must-see TV. We live in a world where we get to see all of our comic book heroes come to life on both the silver and cyber screens. And of all the actors and actresses playing men and women of mystery (a weird, wonderful yet difficult genre to pull off) Grant and his pitch-perfect portrayal of Barry Allen stands shoulder-to-costumed-shoulder with other masters-of-their-masks such as #robertdowneyjr and #adamwest and #ryanreynolds. I love an actor or actress whose work is so strong it can bring me to tears - and if you've ever seen that video of me watching #Flash on my #KevinSmith #youtube channel, you know that I can #BawlBarryBawl over this show like a big baby bitch. I'm as invested in Grant's Barry as I am in some blood family members; in my book, that means the kid elevates the genre. Yesterday was Day 3 of 8, so when we wrap today we'll be halfway done shooting the episode I'm directing. We're shooting a scene today that timely ties into something special from one of my favorite Season 1 episodes. As a storyteller for the week, I'm keen to do the material and the cast & crew justice... But as a fan of the show, I'm freaking out about this deep cuts callback! The other night, we got to add an iconic (and tasty) location to the Flash universe but today? I get to sorta go back in time! I can't tell you how happy all this shit makes me... #centralcity #runbarryrun #funbarryfun #vancouver #thecw #theflashcw #thefastestmanalive

YEEEEEESSSSSS.

Edit: I just noticed.
Does his chest look different?

Maybe it's gonna be like how they handled bringing back RF to his timeline in S2. Either it doesn't work because Kara doesn't have a connection to the speedforce or it's some sort of literal DEO plot device.
