Texan here, still waiting. I did push the pre-payment through PayPal just now to make sure it doesn't take out money when I'm least expecting it.

Alright kids, i need a guide of the best demos and supported games to try this, i have no idea where to look, there seem to be a ton of sites but i don't know which are the good ones and up to date.

Me too. There's that main one everyone suggests, but from what I've seen it doesn't look very good at sorting out the games by quality, by doesn't have a lot of really viewable screens for example.

Problem is that a lot of existing stuff isn't going to work (or at least fully featured) unless they are updated. So I imagine pretty soon there will be DK2 sections/filters on riftenabled and oculus share, but as of right now there's not much of anything. Only the bigger games that are in betas and such can be expected to have support right away. Like Elite and Asseto Corsa.

About a month ago riftarcade put together a list of DK2 supported software here:

But as you can see, most of it is just planned. And even a lot of the stuff that says Yes isn't available currently. Hopefully more DK2 compatible demos will start trickling out soon, we're kind of starting from scratch again.

Am i the only one who got the mail and ordered on the 20th? Lol, i'm in Mexico btw. Maybe they are indeed sending international shipments first, will probably take longer to arrive anyway.

Spain here, just receive my UPS tracking number. No expected delivery yet, though:

"A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

Next round of batches seem to have gone out as my order (9:06AM, Southern California) is about to be shipped or they have started to automate the process.

I'm making a game with my DK1. I've never made a game before and it's coming along nicely. I'm sure other people are being inspired. Me having two dev kits will have made something you will be able to play soon!

I wan to develop a simulator for the oil industry, i know 3d modelling and i have a friend who has a team of programmers. I'm in this for the possible money i could make with it and the fun too lol.

Honestly, even building really basic shit like this and then exploring it in VR is great fun. My game works well with this 'art style' too :)

Good news, stuff like UE4 may be perfect for you! Grab a subscription, download it, unsubscribe (you can keep using that month's version unless you resubscribe and upgrade), try some Blueprint tutorials!

That's great to know!! I haven't "programmed" since I was 9 years old and that was just copying code from computer magazines.

9:39 AM order here and just got my email from Oculus stating they're processing my card to get mine ready to ship. Though the order status page for mine doesn't look like it has been updated.

While I have been a patient man waiting for the HD Rift to ship, I think the real test of patience for me is the waiting and hoping for all my favorite OR experiences to get updated to work for the new version. So many things I would love to retry.

Same here, is there a master list somewhere with all of the DK2-enabled experiences? Not even sure what's available to try when my rift gets here shortly...

Maybe something educational, like all the operations people do in oil platforms, the perforation floor, safety procedures. I know at least here in Mexico people learn all that stuff in theory and then are sent to the field. I still haven't really decided on anything specific just some idea on my head.

My experience in the oil industry is producing videos, i've recorded the installation of sea platforms and other stuff on sea platforms, i'm don't actually work IN the oil industry.

Where are you based?
