Also the fact that they have the 'XBOX' header and 'XBOX REVEALED' at the bottom show that it won't be called 'BOX' or will atleast have XBOX in its name.

Anybody willing to create a Tales From My Ass 5?

Why would anyone want to make a thread for something that is CLEARLY fake? Like I'm talking it's so fake it physically pains me.

I must be the only person who read it.

Stupid rumor that was posted said:
This week, Microsoft announced the arrival of the Pizza Hut application for the Xbox 360, allowing users to order pizzas straight from their console. This was just the first step in what has apparently been a collaboration long in the making. In a secret deal, Microsoft has acquired the technology behind the Easy-Bake Oven from Hasbro. Not only will you be able to order pizza from your Box, you’ll have it delivered from your Box.

So which third party devs are going to get that all important stage time?

I'm going to guess

EA
Crytek
Epic
Remedy
Capcom

I don't think all of those will be there. It's one hour long.

-Talk about the past and their vision for the future
-Show the new Xbox
-Talk about Kinect 2
-Show a game or two

Wrap

Just keep posting.

I just realized I was a member now. I'm just over 300 posts.

Someone replace that box with an xbox lol

Ya it's not as if NA is their largest market by far or anything</sarcasm>

Right smack dab in the middle of the day too. Pretty much guaranteed to miss this as I'm not skipping work for it.

For reference, the 360 unveiling was at 9:30pm ET on a Thursday night.
As already pointed out before, they are not doing this for you or me but mainly for the media and they want the news going out there after the event.

Here is a fresh one....

An anonymous, but totally verified, source within Microsoft contacted us early this morning with a slew of official details about Microsoft’s next entry into the console arena, including system specs, functionality, a name, and some things that nobody was expecting.

Name

“Box.” It’s the ultimate expression of Microsoft’s attempts to make their console more than just a console, but rather a single device that fulfills all of a home’s media needs and more (we’ll get to the “and more”). Not only does the name become more inclusive of the hardware’s widened horizons, but it rolls off the tongue more easily, and, however slightly, improves the names for those who suffer from hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia. Short, simple, and snazzy.

◦Processor: An unannounced collaboration between Microsoft and Intel resulting in a processor that has been designed exclusively for the Box. The Box will boast a dual processor setup, with each x86-64 processor sporting 16 cores with HyperThreading, expanding the 32 physical cores to a total of 64 physical and virtual cores as needed.
◦Memory: GDDR5 16GB
◦HDD: The Box will provide multiple storage options. All SKUs will be loaded with SSD storage, allowing for nearly instant console activation and operation. The capacities will range from 256GB in the low end model to 1TB in the premium model. The Box’s OS will be given a dedicated 128GB SSD on all models, separate from storage, to allow for OS operation, avatar items, applications, and other relevant files.
◦OS: The Box will run Windows 8, allowing for easy development of cross-platform gameplay between PC and Box users.
◦Optical: The Box will use a Blu-Ray drive

Core Functionality

The Box will retain the obvious ability to play video games, movies, music, and more. The user interface will be drastically different than what console users are accustomed to, however, with the introduction of Windows 8 as the operating platform. This opens the Box up to functionality that had been previously restricted (or in certain cases, should have been restricted) to personal computers, including word processing, database maintenance, social media, porn, and more. As a bonus, it has been confirmed that not only will the Box play used games, it will also not require a constant Internet connection…in certain cases. More on that in the “LIVE” section below.

Linky Linky for more

Yep, 60 minutos of Hardware only. E3 gonna hold the games line up

Major Nelson and Polygon confirmed it.

No games at all at the unveiling.. that sucks.
Tech demos look a lot better than what the games end up looking like.
Guess that's going to be next gens "target render".

Eh. I'm 100% set on getting a PS4. And yeah, I've been down on Nextbox, especially because I wasn't a fan of the 2nd half of 360's life cycle. BUT as an enthusiast to this hobby, I always get excited regardless when a new console/gadget is announced. Either way (positive or negative), it will have an impact on our hobby.

Hell, I even got excited for Wii U. Yeah....

YEAH

Not shocked by that, pretty much everyone on GAF was excited for the Wii U announcement.

Uh, no?

Major Nelson's blog as quoted by Polygon was verbatim what's already in the OP.

""On that day, we'll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19-days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we'll continue the conversation and showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games.""

He never said hardware only and nobody expects to see the full line up at this reveal.

Definitely not everyone and I pretty much stated once it was revealed the writing was on the wall.

They were excited for Project Cafe, a powerful next gen system with Nintendo hiring Online development for a much better online infrustructure and StarFox.

Then we got Wii U

Hey GAF my first post! People are frustade and telling MS have left hardcore gamers behind last couple of years. But don't worry, MS will provied! what do you think MS studios have been up to last years? You have to rember MS is still selling 250k boxes every month, without "support" for harcore gamers. So they don't see any reasons to drive the exclusive games, 3 parties does it for them. No the eye of Sauron have been foucesd for the next box and to please the gamers, we are the gamers that will kick off the next gen, so they will please us. So relax, the games will come. And for that ps4 will be so friendly for the programmers, yes if you look to the hardware presentation, but MS has the driver seat in software interaction with hardware. so if hardware specs looking strange? It will add up with the hardware. How can any one doubt that. So get ready for great times. And that PS 4 get positive reactions from programmers, that is also good for us, we will get more great games next gen!

By revealing the full thing at e3 don't they risk getting overshadowed by what Sony and Nintendo have to show?

Not really. They'll probably unveil the console at this event along with some info about their additional services with E3 serving as the main event for their big reveals. All three will be bringing their A game to E3, I don't believe any one presser will overshadow the others. They'll all be full of amazing reveals, surprise announcements, etc.

This may be the best and most exciting E3 since E3 began. It has all the hallmarks of being incredible. We need to set up a chat service as GAF won't survive the onslaught.
