This entire thing with Best Buy has been aggravating to say the least. Ordered the MM 3DS XL when it went up got it canceled. Mad but got $50 credit so ordered the black with the fastest shipping offered. The new order hasn't even went into preparing yet. I have absolutely no faith I'll see it anytime soon than next week which will royally piss me off with the $17 shipping I picked.

From what I've seen on Reddit, people that pre-ordered this week seem to be getting actual shipping notifications because Best Buy offered free express shipping this week. I know at least one person who pre-ordered with standard shipping back in January and is getting their's tomorrow.
I'd contacted one of Best Buy's social media people and got a somewhat quick but stock response. My order went "Preparing Order" by the time I got a reply. It was worth a shot to see if I could get my shipping upgraded.
Anyways, I'm venturing out tomorrow for a Majora's Mask N3DS XL. My Best Buy order is still sitting at "Preparing Order". I know I'm not getting it tomorrow ... but BB's pre-order system is backassed so who knows.

MH4U is suppose to be really good for beginners so if you have any interest in that it will serve you hundreds of hours easily. All of those are great choices.

Damn it's going to be super cold. Hopefully when I get to the store tomorrow morning to camp out, if there's > 2 people they'll let me know if they're waiting for MM edition so i won't waste my time. Sounds like each store has 3.
I don't think so, if it's built like the smaller variant then nothing should touch the screen area.

Yes, I was only able to reach one gamestop, but they said they only had one left in stock that isn't pre-ordered.

I mean, the standard 3DS is the thing that most badly needs to be refreshed.
It seems so outdated compared to the new one, and knowing there is a new version out there in the rest of the world... i just... *sigh*

I just called my local 24 hour Walmart. The guy in electronics told me they got five New Nintendo 3DS XL's in stock, 3 black and two red. He said there wasn't a line yet, but he didn't expect them to last too long and expected a line to form shortly.
I just ordered a red one from Newegg with Majora's Mask. I don't feel like fighting for the five they got in tonight at Walmart, lol. I won't get it at launch, but I can live with that.

Persona isn't my cup of tea, so I don't have anything positive/negative to say about that.
Between MH4 and MM, I'm personally going MH4.
It will last you a whole lot longer in terms of gameplay hours, has online MP if that's your thing (and launch week will be the best time to play online with so many people), plus it's the most accessible monster hunter they've made. Just make sure you realize going in that it's not a button mashing action game.
I only started playing MH about 4 months ago, and I've been hooked on 3U, so I'm really excited for 4U. One thing to be aware of, is that the game doesn't always tell you things clearly like many games. You need to be observant and just explore and see what happens (or you could use the wiki if you really wanted to...).When you start you're only dipping your toe into the monster waters. After a few hours, the monster hunter train really takes off, and when it does, you're in for a ride!
Majora's Mask will be great as well, so you can't go wrong, but since I already played the original back in the day, I figured I'm better off waiting for it to go on sale at some point. I don't exactly need to worry about MP having people online or anything like that, so it doesn't matter if I get it now or a year from now.

Flip a coin for Persona Q and Majora's Mask.
I rather have the smaller one but I highly highly doubt it would have done well here. NOA wouldn't on a whim decide to lose sales. The XL vastly outsold the non-XL and 2DS in America.
Majora's Mask looked really good when I messed around with the demo unit. I've never been a big fan of the 3D Zelda games, but playing them on a handheld system may change my view.
No, he said they would start selling them at 12:00 am, but I called at about 9:00 pm. I don't feel like standing in line, and at first I was going for the black version, but after seeing some pics of the red version, I changed my mind and went with it. I have had good dealings with Newegg. They must ship from close to where I live because even with super saver shipping my orders arrive in one day. I figure I'll receive it by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
Anyway, Walmart only had two red ones available, and I just figure I'm too old for all this waiting in line business, lol. If no one was interested, I would go get it, but it seems people are scrambling right now at the last minute. I'll let the younger folks enjoy the launch.FleetingFlowAir

Finally saw that my GameStop order for the n3DS XL MH4U bundle reached Closed status earlier today and now it is shipping to be delivered by the end of Monday. Now I'm really hyped for it.
If it arrives on time, then I won't regret that I chose Value Shipping.

Picking one up tomorrow, first time 3ds owner. Think I'll pick up Majoras mask also, never played it before.
Just went to my local GameStop to pay off my preorder, and just within my transaction there were two calls asking if there were any extras, and the phone did not stop ringing while I was there.
I also asked about the whole trade in thing. They told me that I could taken my system home, do the transfer and then come back that same day and they will do the whole transaction, and credit the 100 dollars.
the GS I went to said they could do it in store, just praying it wont take forever or I'll to do the take home option.
I mean, it's a mass produced electronic device. There will be plenty of them soon enough.
Get one if you want one. If you don't, then don't.

Yeah, the new 3DS does all the old CPP stuff.
You can play them in their native resolution by pressing START/SELECT while booting up from the home screen.
Although they look tiny as hell in the huge screen.

My target got two of the MM 3ds, will go so fast it's not worth trying.
Yeah I know that, but it wasn't the resolution that bothered me. It just didn't look as vibrant/colorful as on my DSi XL. Looked kinda pale.

Yeah I get that. But is it going to be like the wii at first where there are none around. Nintendo is such a disaster when it comes to these things and the amiibo situation has me thinking this could be hard to find for a bit. I passed on it though since I have a ds and barely play that and this thing has nothing new in terms of games so far.
