I am not using VG numbers, I will have to find it but I am pretty sure both EA and IGN confirmed that Madden 09 had rebounded from a bad first two months and was nearing 700-800k before the holidays.

We do know for a fact how much Madden 07 had sold and I am pretty sure again we know concrete what 08 sold as well

I will say, the DSi is so cool, IMO, it does make you want to buy more games. I have bought 3 new DS games since picking up my DSi... looks like im' not the only one.

You have to remember when analyzing the 'legs' of non first party Wii titles - what price point are the units selling at? It's all very well and good to say title X ended up selling Y units over its lifespan, but how many were sold at full price vs markdown. At the end of the day it all comes down to $$$ generated, not units sold.

Man . . . it was a rough month for American 3rd party publishers . . . THQ, Activision, Electronic Arts . . . all skunked out of the Top 10. Take-Two barely made the top 10 with MLB 2K9 on the 360 . . . but even that was an embarrassment considering they have a 3rd-party exclusive license for the MLB and they got smoked by Sony's MLB 09 which is on a platform with a much smaller installed base.

2K Sports should try to buy the MLB 09 dev team from Sony. Sony could use the money and TTWO could use that dev team.

So we follow top ten sales figures, the only things we do know with any certainty.

Layton has been way up on the Amazon Top 100 for a while now. I have no idea what the game is but I hear it is good. Nintendo can almost do no wrong these days when some title called 'Professor Layton' is a top-seller. :lol
