Items dont move drastically up and down. Xbox one has been going down consistently down. You can check the list 3-4 times a day. Yesterday it started at 50 and kept going down. Tonight is about to fall out of top 100. It only stayed in the top 50 for 2 days.

The Vita is the worst selling system of all 8th gen systems behind the Wii U so again I wouldn't try to draw much insight into those rankings without further qualification on how it's measured

WiiU is flying off the shelf though. It went from 130 to ~48 last week and still in the top 50. As of today WiiU/Zelda bundle is holding steady in the top 50. It is actually outselling PS4. !!!

Both WiiU & Vita still has more life time sales than Xbox one. If you check the charts regularly.. PS4, WiiU are holding its place. The stay within a 5 spot range. The $399 Xbox one SKU, started at 40 and dramatically fell down to 100 spot. The $499 Xbox one has been in the ~150th spot for almost 3 weeks.

It could mean that Xbone troubles are much bigger than people are assuming. If May NPD numbers come out and we find it sold in the ~20K range, it will be a disaster. 3rd parties will start bailing out, which will compound the problem.

True, even with half the install base of PS4, third parties would still have their multiplats on it, the architectures are similar enough to justify the extra little efforts to reach a market of a few more millions users.

For the rest, it will be MS'job to differentiate their machine with exclusive content.

i'm not even talking about the wii u, but yes it's a coincidence. people aren't abandoning the xbox platform for the wii u- it's that the wii u is enjoying a bit of good word of mouth from mario kart 8, which should fade into the summer months and the long wait until smash bros.

where would third-parties even go if they stopped making games for xbox one? they stopped making exclusive games for ps3 back in the middle of last decade because the budgets demanded it. now they are planning on the revenue of two major platforms to continue the status quo. dropping the platform would be disastrous.

Ha yeah I don't think XB1's are selling at any amazing rate, I do expect some uptick from May but May will be horrid for the XB1 so that doesn't say much

I simply can see that Gamestop's ranking method is entirely useless for what we would like to see

For instance right now it places from best selling to least

Destiny PS4 bundle > PSV BL Bundle > Wii U Wind Waker Bundle > Standard PS4 > XB1 kinectless > Wii U Mario/Luigi & MK8 bundle > XB1 Forza 5 kinect bundle > Wii U MK8 Bundle

How could the Vita outsell the standard SKU of the PS4, any Wii U SKU in the month that MK8 launched, all XB1 SKUs? There is a huge difference. They can port any game easily with lower resolution/FPS to XB1 but need to do a completely different version for Wii U (the first will be profitable even with low sales).

No, something must've been wrong with the disc. X1 was telling me it was ready, but upon going into the game it was still stuck installing after selecting a difficulty.
I probably waited longer than I did with MGS4 on PS3. Going to return the disc and try another this morning.

What's this about competitive fifa players on xbox? You do realize that Fifa has been selling better on Playstation consoles for like the last 3 or some years because of Europe and the rest of the world right?

I'm personally getting it on PS4 next time to avoid Legends because they are such overpowered bullshit to go up against. Even the shitty legends are better than the top regular players.

crackdown is a loooooong way away. There will definitely be another price cut before crackdown releases.

That's because for a significant portion of time the Titanfall bundle was the same price as the PS4. It comes back every now and again when MS wants to shift stock.
