'The Last of Us: Remastered' coming to PS4, July 2014, [1080p, targeting 60 fps]

Might actually give the MP a solid effort this time. We'll see.
Didn't think much of it myself with the PS3 version but it's quite fun. Helps if you play with friends since it plays to your favor if you stick together due to limited resources.

Think Gears of War but with more people taking their time maneuvering rather than rushing.

I rented TLOU originally from Gamefly so I missed out on MP the first time around and by the time I bought it I was certain the PS4 version was going to be announced so I held off. Same thing for Left Behind.

I'm so excited. Even though TLOU is my GOTG on PS3, I have so many fresh experiences yet to have with the Remaster.

Still haven't played even a single second of TLoU PS3, nor GTAV on PS360.

No last-gen, no digital versions for me. PS4 physical copies for both.

So happy.

TLoU: Remastered soon, GTAV later this year.

I wonder is there was like a switcheroo done for this game. Like when it was announced, ND said they were gonna work on it but what if ND only did that to mad hype this game and in reality the ones doing the porting is some shit tier dev like 505Games or Nihilistic Software???

That would explain no media what so ever. THINK about it. I can smell 900P resolution with unlocked 45FPS.

Yeah, they all know that these ponies will believe anything.

They also said they upresed textures and added cutscene models to gameplay. You can tell that textures are sharper even in the 30 second spot, we just need to see gameplay to decide on the models. All together those things should have a significant impact on the overall look of the game.

Yep, plus I think so many people are so hung up on the graphics upgrades of TLOU, that many keep forgetting how it is going to "feel" when you play it at 60fps compared to the fluctuating 30fps on PS3. It is going to feel totally different, then you add in the graphics upgrades, it is going to be awesome.

I just realized that this came with all the DLC. I never played the single player DLC, and I dont even know what the multiplayer map packs contained. Now my hype is going even higher. Those are some bonuses I keep forgetting. I sold my game off before the DLC was even released.

the feel of 60fps is like watching the hobbit at 48fps. it's shit. gimme cinematic 24fps any day. i wonder if they'll be a 24fps option. I wanna be inside this David cage movie game.

Yeah, I'm actually wondering if I'll be a little bit "better" at this game on PS4. The DS4 and 60FPS and a new low input-lag TV make me feel like it might be less of a tortuously difficult experience for me this time around.

No joke, playing this game with a DS4 is in itself an exciting aspect of this release.

I am a 37 year old with 2 daughters, I dont play multiplayer as much as I used to when I was younger. But I can tell you this, TLOU multiplayer totally sucked me in. It is some of the most intense multiplayer shit I have ever played. My hear pounded most of the time I played, and when your teammates get killed and you have 2 or 3 opponents hunting you down, you have to decide to engage, or hide, or run. All of your teammates are watching you.

Then you have situations where your teammates get "downed" and you have that time period of thought "do I leave cover to revive them" while your teammate is yelling "revive me" or you down and opponent, and you have to weigh whether you should run up to execute them, or pop them from a distance. Or you just leave them "downed" crawling around, in an attempt to "out" one of there teammates to come out of cover to revive them.

It is awesome, even if you aren't that great at it, it is intense, sometimes scary. I mean, you aren't going into multiplayer trying to shoot your enemies. You are hunting them, in very small groups. Its incredible.

Can't wait for the meltdowns if it's not 60 fps. Felt like ND themselves were hinting pretty hard that it was; I'm taking their word over a GAFfer.

I made this to capture how I feel about this thread.

I know we're a few pages shy of 11 thousand posts but I had to round up for the sake of ART.

Anyone know if the Grounded making of doco will be on the PS4 version? if so will they add the 5-10 min big for the Left Behind DLC onto it. I still haver Grounded on my PS3 but i think everyone should be able too see it if they didnt get the last gen version. And outside of the US where Amazon have it free where can non Americans watch it?

Reviews of this game will be out before release.

Hoping some gameplay is shown there, maybe a look to see If the main menu is different?
To celebrate 30 years of Naughty Dog, familiar character silhouettes (for example Sully, with distinctive moustache) will appear as shadows on the curtains as they walk past outside.

This will also demonstrate the upgraded shadow fidelity.

And with this I know for fact that I will be playing the MP. Sounds awesome. Never played the MP the first time.
