So Lightning will invade our PCs now D:

Toriyama urging everyone to remember Lightning forever!

Although its pretty cheap and I'd probably buy it when its released day 1...however I might wait for the Steam Winter Sale to see if it can go down even further :O

Thats cool, but more importantly

Where is my FF12 International Edition HD for the PC

Yes! Really hope that's on SE's radar, with all the re-releases of older FF games lately.

I really want to get this, damn that price but what if it's a garbage port with all kinds of things locked like resolution and fps....

Edit: Price is making me think this port is gonna be absolute trash.

Will buy to show support, but the steam page is confusing; It warns us that there's only English audio, but when you look at the languages, there's full Japanese text and audio?
I hope this has dual audio for all 3 games. It will give me a reason to replay 1 before trying 2 and LR. A while back, I was looking at importing the HK versions of 1 and 2, but those are expensive due to rarity.

Fuck yeah, count me as one of the few who enjoyed FFXIII and FFXIII-2. Still have LR unopened for the PS3.

Guess I'll buy them all on Steam now.

Nah. People buy locked framerate games. This game doesn't need 60 FPS to function well.

Go browse Steam forums, if the game is locked at 30 people will rage.

I've never understood this argument. I am still controlling the character and can feel and perceive the reduced frame rate.

At least the price is really cheap?

Probably will drop more during Steam sales, but yeah... ~$15 for a 4+ year old title on a new platform isn't a bad move by Square. Unlike say... charging for an iPhone remake of a port of a port of a port of a port of an SNES JRPG/4 for that much.

Bought.

Bought again for my friend who played the entire trilogy on PS3 and liked it begudhingly.

Bought AGAIN for Spoony if I can figure out what his Steam login is. It must be inflicted upon him once again, but this time in HIGH DEFINITION! MWAHAHAHAH

And for every rager there are like 10 people that buy it anyways during a Steam sale.

You're not controlling characters in this though, you're controlling menus.

What I want to know is whether the ports are internally done by square enix, or if they have gotten Nixes involved again.
I'll be buying all 3 when I have an idea on the port.

This, however cheap it is, i cannot buy this unless we have "some" idea on what the port is like.

Edit: I think it's weird there isn't any message proclaiming higher res textures / made for HD! and such like there always is with these kinds of late ports, they even did it with FF3 and FF4 IIRC.

It does have dual audio, but it's not available worldwide. The question is, if it's in the package, in which case getting it out should be trivial, or if it's genuinely regional in which case it's gonna take some doings that we're not supposed to do.

is this game region locked ?
Brazilian store look cheaper

It does seem to have multiple regional versions

I highly recommend this game. It gets good after 30 hours.

Hahahaha, that's my biggest problem with it. Too long until it picks up. Well, maybe second biggest problem.

Has Square still been doing their crappy extra DRM in their Steam ports, or did they give that up?

Wow... I only played the original on PS3 and was largely disappointed with it, but this is intriguing.

Was this announced at TGS? I'm hoping there will be a Japanese release. I really am not interested in playing the game in English.

Nordic Edition? Idk, that was a guess
Thought so too, asked because I'm not really in a "Nordic" region.

Russian version of a game is always the cheapest one. In this case the brazilian is a bit more.

Can't wait for the Xmas sales lol.

Will buy and add to the pile of shame just on the off chance we might get Kingdom Hearts 3 later. Wouldn't mind Final Fantasy X HD while Square are spreading the PC love.

I'll get it when the entire trilogy is available for around $10-15 on a sale.

I played the first, and unlike many others, thought it was decent. But XIII-2, and LR just weren't appealing to me all that much, and the framerate hiccups that I was seeing in some of the videos were bothering me a lot, which is extremely rare for me, as it usually doesn't matter to me. My PC should be able to fix that AFAIK, don't really game on PC, only tried it for titanfall, and the crew beta. Have this rig mainly for multimedia editing and what not.

PC gamers, it's decent right?

I wanna max settings the hell out of this.

Not sure I want to slog through the boring first third of the game though.

I'm assuming there's no Japanese language option in this version either?

curious who's doing the port. Also was the framerate locked on consoles?

Any remote chance of it being capped?

So weird. Never really expected this, but I'm glad it's happening. I probably won't play this, nor XIII-2 (I still have a PS3 game going that I need to get back to), but I'd consider picking up Lightning Returns if the price is good.

For real. I'd cry tears of joy and buy 10 copies to give via modbot away if that happened. No joke.

You won't have any issue at all running the game.
