Hey if I have to pay for a 'demo' (again!) to see how the Fox Engine shapes up on PC (Pro Evo doesn't really count as it's not exactly using it to the fullest degree) then so be it. Considering I didn't do much outside the Main Op and was on about 33% complete on the PS3 version, I got about 10 hours out of Ground Zeroes just poking around the base. That's not bad for a 'demo'. Of course I don't everyone is going to be like me inspecting every little element, pathway and detail.

but what's a point? I mean paying for demo if you gonna buy a game regardless.

No modern console atm, so I will be looking forward to this particular version. Many beautiful shots will appear in December Steam thread, I suppose.

Woah, I guess I got crazy lucky with the Fancy Skulls cards I didn't know I had until last week. It's now in a BundleStars bundle and the card prices are bound to drop like a rock, while mine actually all sold for €0,30-0,70.

I should write rap songs about my card money. Been had card money.

Hahaha no it's the ribbing on Ground Zeroes just being a brief flirtation of what MGS V The Phantom Pain has to offer. So in short it bizarrely gets labeled a paid demo. Seeing as Konami aren't exactly focused on PC gaming these days outside of Pro Evo I'm curious to see how the Fox Engine transfers to PC, what the options will be like, what extras like different aspect ratios and SLI and driver manipulation is possible before MGS V comes out. The only way to get a handle on that first hand is to buy Ground Zeroes. I honestly can't imagine Konami are going to have SLI or Crossfire setup out of the box and stuff like Inspector AA & AO flags will need to be discovered if they're compatible so it's a nice toy to play with in my eyes outside of the game itself.

I was quite surprised how it looked on PS3. Was a bit spotty in places regards to performance but getting a chance to see what my PC can do is more than enough encouragement. From reading the PS4 impressions from GAF sounds like it's a nice step up over the PS3 version so be interesting to see if there's the same to the PC one or if it's just the usual little tweaks that can be made like resolution and texture quality and such. 21:9 Aspect Ratio Metal Gear though would be a dream.

Well looping installation sequence, 2 blue screens and got cock blocked trying to install my LAN drivers so had to force them in but finally up and running. Yeah it's a preview alright. Very jittery navigating even basic OS elements and some windows become unresponsive for a second or two. Unless you want a play around and see what's what I'd wait it out for a bit and I really wouldn't recomend it for the non savy users or as a daily use OS, even for light usage folks. There's a long way to go, like 12 months plus, before Windows 10 will be on the shelves.

I was actually thinking about installing it, but seeing this I'll probably wait for the consumer preview instead.

PS4 version had rock solid 60fps but there wasn't a lot on screen most of the time, game looks fine but not 'woaaaaah' so I don't think we'll get the same drama like with Mordor or Evil Within.

Does anyone get tearing scrolling through their library of games when it's set to images? It's highly annoying.

Hmm, no. What OS are you using?

I had a play around with Mordor last night and it was stable for the brief time I played. Was a bit jittery but when I closed it down there was already 2 updates to install. I've only messed about for 3 hours so it's just a breif bit of waffle from me but going into the Personalise window it would lock up for about a second when changing theme and selecting a new wallpaper wasn't a smooth experience. I don't know if it's an Nvidia driver compatibility or a DirectX issue but those are the two things that come to mind.

It's worth having a play around with even if you're just curious but there's not too much to shout about new feature wise. Though multiple Desktops is a really nice addition but could do with some management tools like being able to drag an application to a certain desktop. I think the way it works is the all applications are open but minimized from the desktop space they weren't open in. I didn't try having two instances of the same application or settings window open but that might show what's happening.

No doubt someone will blow something completely out of proportion though. It's the Next-Gen way.

Since MGS: GZ is getting released this year, I have high hopes of getting a simultaneous release for TPP. Don't let me down Hideo.

When you guys talk of a "paid demo", you refer to GZ being a preview of TPP, right?

So if I have to buy only one, I should go for TPP, right?

If you have to buy only one. Buy TPP. But GZ is still great in it's own right, pick it up if it's not region locked or when it's 50% off.

She is. She's not in GZ at all.

Okay, so I know for sure which one to buy first.

Windows 8.1 pro. Didn't have the issue with my 670's but it started with the 970's.

Did I black out from all that Weizenbier again? Damn, though I've spent more on worse while drunk, Japanese Fräuleins are fine. Or is there an imposter sneaking around called derExpert instead of derExperte?

forgot to write about new HBW. I'm not sure $5 tier is worth it. Storm sounds wonderful on paper, but gameplay is horrid, as in controls are clunky and frustrating, no zen to be seen. Wooden Sen'Sey sits in my NOPE folder, and I'm not sure I've played Poöf, at least I can't remember.
While $1 tier is very much nobrainer for Puddle alone.
I plan to play Gauge finally too and see what's up with that weirdness.
Don't know anything about Crouching Pony Hidden Dragon, though, although a name is god tier for sure.

I think there is other derExperte too, and even german too, I stumbled on him/her at some point.

She is so beautiful. I don't like the "lack" of attire, though. It's just awkward-looking, but Hideo likes to pull that stuff.

I can't look at her choice of clothing without laughing, it's so incredibly stupid.

I thought you celebrated Berlin Wall coming down day instead, and I remember vaguely that there is some game based on it too.

I read it. But I am swamped with Infinity Engine games to play, so I don't have my hype meter at high level. MGSV is the only stealth/action game on my radar so it means more to me.

Actually Ground Zeroes coming out in mid December is nice for me as it avoids all the big releases and is at the time of year when next to nothing is happening at work. That's if I don't do my usual thing of play a couple of hours and move onto something else.

Time for a history lessons btw, today is German Unity Day / Tag der Deutschen Einheit. Yay!

And now I have The Hoff stuck in my head.

I think everyone and their mothers assumed it was getting pushed back, even before the backer beta. I'd rather Obsidian take their time and Pillars gets the love it deserves.
