Being able to chagne the background color is bringing back that homely PS3 feel. I loved the feel of the PS3 XMB and it's customization. I just loved it.

I'm only about 1/3 through but it has surprised me so far, lots of mystery to an old civilization, character motivation changes and even death. Has me very excited for whats to come, check some reviews out they are quite strong! Its somewhere in between breath of fire, final fantasy and bravely default mechanically. Nice challenge without being too frustrating. If you do pick it up, let me know as there is one very silly design choice in an early dungeon that i will give you a good hint for.
I'd recommend playing with 16 bit GFX, but the PCM soundtrack (Sega CD). The original 2010 release actually had the option of playing it off CD as well as cartridge to get the Sega CD quality music so its right in line with the original experience.
The HD backgrounds are nice, and even have some simple lighting effects but it can be more difficult to discern where you need to go at times.
None that i've experienced, nor heard about with the PS4 version. Hopefully thats not a common issue.

Hmmm I must have missed the other ones then. To be honest I didn't even realize we got anything since 1.70 but apparently 1.75 showed up at some point...I should pay more attention to what my console says when I'm installing things on it

It will work as well as Remote Play. It's all going to comedown to distance. Someone on the otherside of the world is, likely, not going to have a good experience with it, but that's not different from remote play.
Remember when the store used to be a static web page and there was no background downloading? Pausing downloads? You bloody had to wait for it to finish!

First ppl doubt them for Not having retail PS4 out in the Wild within a month of launch and they has a great one without any problems...
Then they doubt them on Remote play that went perfect
then the Destiny launch, ppl thought the servers would fail went fine this will be good to..

I'd be more skeptical if SharePlay wasn't peer to peer. Right now I'm fairly hopeful, since the friend I'm going to use it with mainly has a connection as good as mine.

I actually read 3(?) reviews that stated it had some game breaking bugs which made me pass up on it...
But shouldn't the whole purpose of SharePlay should be that anyone from any part of the world can join and have a smooth experience? (depending on their internet speed ofcourse)
