None of this is likely or makes sense.

We shall see. Did a Silent Hill game from Kojima and Del Toro featuring Norman Reedus being revealed in an interactive demo posing as an indie game make sense before you knew it existed?

Its just speculation and hope on my part tho. Like most posts in here ;)

Only third party game that I think could be exclusive, would be Silent Hills, although higher chances are that it's multiplatform. There really aren't big third party exclusives anymore outside maybe Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest, and then some Japan-only games like Yakuza etc.

Konami isn't going to just bring Del Toro and Reedus on board just so that they can restrict themselves to one platform.

Hopes/speculation for exclusives of games that are guaranteed to be made without a platform holder doesn't make any sense.

You should be asking for new or dead IPs.

Sure, maybe Sony could magically fund/co-fund the nonexistent FF7 remake, but how much would they spend on that which could be used to fund a new JRPG IP (with a top tier staff). I'd rather have that because as you can see, Square is dumping out FF games all day and they wouldn't have a problem funding a FF7 remake.

I'm surprised the event is just 2 weeks away now. I hope Gravity Rush 2 is there and Ono announces his new game.

If the Uncharted Master Thief Collection is a thing, who's doing it?
I guess it's too big of a project for ND (between UC4, TLOU HD and who-knows-what), so maybe Bluepoint? They were working on a PS4 project iirc

Knowing Kojima? Yea, that was infinitely more likely, and more in line with his previous trollish behavior. Really out of nowhere, while it happened at the time, but still very plausible.

A full exclusive of a strong selling franchise, foregoing the revenue from other platforms neither falls in line with current Playstation strategy nor makes sense for Square (FFVII) and Capcom (SFV), since the investment for those games would be massive, and would need an obscene amount of upfront funding. The most you're going to get is Sony expanding games to other platforms, like Persona 5, or reviving dead franchises, like Nintendo did for Bayonetta.

Which brings me to DMC5. Out of the things you listed, it's the least ridiculous, but it also comes with a bunch of problems. If Capcom wants to continue DmC, they're not going to want it competing with DMC. There's also the chance that Capcom just wants to go back and continue DMC on their own, which would make an exclusive really unlikely. So I guess you consider that game the silver lining in your post.

No one knows if it's a thing, just speculations and hopes. I think it will come, and Master Thief Collection would be the best name they could give to the collection :p
Edit: Can't read, yeah probably Bluepoint. Don't think ND would do it.

Bluepoint's last job listing was looking for contractors to port a portable title.

Yeah for Golden Abyss :D

Yeah, people need to stop fooling themselves into thinking that Silent Hills has a chance of being platform-exclusive. It's not going to be. P.T. is the exclusive, and Sony struck that deal with Konami for mindshare purposes, so that Silent Hills will be closely associated with the PS4. It'll be on the Xbone as well, for sure.

Ono will anounce his PS4 exclusive so how can this event be disappointing ?

Some People are expecting TLG, Agent and those kind of Games for the Event, there's no way they wont be disappointed. I'm sure we will get some cool new stuff out of PSX.
Onos Game is not SF5.

Continuing with DmC would be IP suicide.

DMC5 or they might as well not bother.

So is Ono game announcement confirmed or just a rumor. Also is it definitely a new game and not just more on Deep Down or a USFIV PS4 port.

Ono said on Twitter that they wont port Ultra. Maybe trolling, idk.

Probably the best shot of getting what PAS should've been in the first place, which is a Power Stone structured game. It also shouldn't be called PAS. Give it a new name so it doesn't carry negative baggage.

im still baffled how Sony handled this new Ip/Franchise with that huge potential.

That b-tier Studio, that horrible marketing, and that small budget they spend on this game (Licenses - characters)

If Sony wants to establish their own brawling/fighting Franchise. Then they have to handle this seriously.

-Spend Money on this game( License of characters like Crash, Cloud, Sora and so on).
-Treat it like a big Game (Marketing,Presence)
-And like i said, let sompetent studio/director develop it. Ono would be perfect

They were stupid enough to reboot DMC for no reason, so I'm not putting any bets against them doubling down.

To try it once is one thing (it's not like they had much of a choice anyway since Itsuno and team were busy with Dragon's Dogma) but to do it again after that kind of reception by the fan base is another.

well to be fair they had Tekken until last gen exclusively

they really didn't have a need to develop any sort of exclusive fighting franchise

Street Fighter sells pretty well universally doesn't it? In Japan I'm sure PS consoles will dominate, and I'm sure Capcom games in general sell better on PS, but I don't think Street Fighter, Resident Evil or anything like that will be announced exclusively, just doesn't make sense. If anything, Sony could just spend much much less money if hardly any with associating the games with PS4 platform. Heck, MGS:GZ Hideo himself basically told everyone to go get the PS4 version lol...No need to money hat here at all.

I think it will be something along the lines of BloodBorne where there is mutual benefit to both parties, or if Capcom just has an IP they weren't planning on doing something with. So my only guess is Devil May Cry or Dragon's Dogma. Sony really just needs to get back MH & DQ, money hatting isn't really necessary.

Not expecting anything besides 2 new AAA announcements and updates on things released. That doesn't sound that exciting in a hype thread, but just look back at TGS/Gamescon, what Sony has already announced is staggering. I just want to see these games turning out well now. The Order and No Man's Sky pretty high on that skeptical list. A great show, and a restart to the hype train for me would basically be proof of concept that these announced games are actually good.

Sony should put Japan Studio in collaboration with Level 5 to revive Rogue Galaxy and Dark Cloud :D

If not something all new between SCEJ and Level-5 (and I really hope there's something), it'd be really cool (and good for Sony given this game's popularity) if Level-5 developed a PS4 version of Yokai Watch, similar to what they did with Ni no Kuni, going from the original DS version to PS3.

The biggest problem is that they and other companies used it as a marketing opportunity. That's why we got the reboot Dante instead of classic Dante. It's why we saw Raiden instead of Snake. It's why Big Daddy was in the game. There were some great picks in there, like including Spike and Sir Daniel, but many of the picks made no damn sense.

Sony Santa Monica will be hosting the ''Creating Surprise & Discovery in Games'' panel at PSX, and today they tweeted that they will bring a ''special guest'' to the panel.
