Okay apparently the leaked Artworks are realThere is a guy called the Gravedigger. Who is that?
I'm going with it being
the leader of the new bad guys. Probably Andy Serkis.

To distance itself from the shitty prequels and special editions? Why isn't it called episode 7?
Whatever the hell that was, it doesn't look like Star Wars. Feels more like some kind of fan film.

The question is who do you guys think the bad guy is about to fight?

Looks surprisingly not-terrible.
This is the very definition of Rule of Cool (looks impractical but it's OK because it looks nice): http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuleOfCool
The Canadian Air Force's jet fleet is primarily CF-18 hornets, which have been around since 1978 (36 years).
lol ok you guys got me. My main point was that I wanted to new ships for a new trilogy. We used the space shuttle for a good 30 years and those are tin foil compared to what the Empire has.
The script was shit, so of course the dialogue was going to be shit too.
Hell, I busted out laughing when Ewan McGregor said that Anakin killed "younglings".
The whole experience was shit. Thank god we can look forward to the new trilogy.
Every planet shot was very basic, no major sci-fi cities like in the prequels. Of course this is just a teaser but maybe JJ goes back to the simple themed planets of the OT. Like the snow forest planet, or the mountain planet.
If you guys want to know why the villian ignitied his saber in the woods based on leaked concept art descriptions...he is about to fightLuke Skywalker

Where did this image come from? Looks like it's IMAX aspect ratio.
But the main problem with it is that it looks silly. I didn't laugh when I first saw it because I didn't think it would do an adequate job of guarding lol. This is the very definition of Rule of Cool (looks impractical but it's OK because it looks nice): http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuleOfCool
Agreed, that was the trailers little tease for him.oh yeah I remember that one.
There is no way in hell the Lightsaber sound we hear at the end isn't Luke's.

that guy doesnt have serkis' frame
its driver
correct
Yup they are real suits.
Yup, amazing. Actual humans in suits.
JJ tends to prefer using real props and sets for everything around the actors, and using CG for stuff that can't be done on a set, or using it to extend the background of a set (like out a window or something).

I was unsure about this trailer until I saw those X-wings. Then those feels came rushing back.
Also the first shot in the trailer is a man wearing an actual stormtrooper costume. Something the prequel trilogy never managed in three movies.
