Hey, I'll answer this one, it was a Capcom fighting game called Star Gladiator, thought the guy on the cover looked awesome so I picked it up. Played the heck out of that game, so many fun times.

but why calling them megatons if they are not big announcements to a certain degree?

I never played Shnemue, but i know a Shenmue 3 Announcement would be Megaton.

I'm with ya. I'm also really surprised another dev hasn't taken a crack at the "shared RNG loot" mechanic introduced (to me, anyways) in Knack: When opening a chest you can choose between what you would have gotten, or any other items those on your friends list picked up when they played, as a way to try and streamline the grind. I thought it was pretty brilliant.

Suikoden for the PS1. I remember the art looked pretty cool so I bought it with my playstation. Didn't realize I needed a memory card so i spent the first week playing the beginning scene over and over. I think i left my ps1 on overnight because I couldnt save, and I was devastated when I woke up and my parents had turned it off. That game and it's sequel still hold a special place in my gaming history haha.

Let's say out of all the ridiculous shit in this thread, and based on what Amir0x said, the 3 most likely scenarios are:

1. TLG shown for PS4
2. Crash revival
3. Dragon's Dogma 2 from Capcom

Would those classify as megatons to you? If none of those end up being true, the real announcements will probably be even less exciting. So use that to judge your megatonnage ratings.

The thing with hard mode is it's only hard until you grow in size and gain more health. It's brutal as mini Knack because everything's a one hit death to you and check points are really far apart but as soon as you grow in size and get the combat / dodge mechanic down it's a lot easier. Also use power up moves sparingly!

OT - All these teases of the new Order demo have me so psyched! The game looks like an amazing concept with glorious art direction, graphics and sound design, if the story and characters are well realised and interesting and the gameplay and set pieces well executed then it could be something pretty incredible. Glad Sony took the hard decision of pushing it back to polish it up.

DD 2 is a megaton ? The first sold poorly,i don't see it as a megaton.I would believe more on Capcom reviving some old franchises.

PSOne: Nothing. I did not own one :'( But I did play the crap out of Spyro and Crash when I could. I did own a Dreamcast, and Crazy Taxi was my first console video game of all time.

PS2: Dark Cloud 2. First real JRPG (Pokemon withstanding). I fell in love with the game, and everything about the music and setting still makes me feel so good inside. Friend recommended it to me all the way back in elementary school, bought it at the Flea Market.

PS3: Call of Duty 4

PS4: RESOGUN

That's why I'm asking people if they would consider those a megaton.

If there is a 3rd party announcement, DD2 is probably as big as you are getting.

There won't be a Fallout 4, GTA6, Street Fighter level game.

Because Crytek is just dump. They tell us how bad consoles are... and then they are releasing games on consoles. Then they say shit about how Resolution and FPS matter... and in the next moment they say it doesnt. But overall they delivered nothing worth a damn.

If they go bankrupt its sad for the tech guys who made a real good engine... but everyone else? No.

They would definitely be exciting for me personally, especially a Dragon's Dogma 2. I loved the first one and the expansion.

I think Sony will reveal new color for PS4, like anniversary edition or something.
Red PS4 Bloodborne or Persona 5 bundle.

This has probably been asked before, but why is artificially generating hype bannable? If, in the end, the hype wasn't justifiable, wouldn't your rep be screwed up anyways? Is there really a problem adding wood to this hype train's firebox?

I'd the the first two are legit megatons with the third being a Gaf-ton.
