Yup. PS Plus is devaluing indie games in my eyes. On one hand it's great because the games get exposure they wouldn't have otherwise and the developers to get paid for games on PS Plus. On the other hand, I've been trained to wait for indie games to hit PS Plus. As the market saturates and more and more indie games are fighting for PS Plus spots, many will get left out and their games won't be purchased at all. That's my fear at least.

sad but true, i got burned by a bunch of vita sales that ended up on psplus (spelunky, lone survivor, stealth inc, thomas was alone), since then i've stopped buying them, even when they're on sale. i wanted both rogue legacy and the swapper at launch, but i was just waiting for this to happen. wasn't counter spy part of that money off deal last year too? i'm willing to bet that'll be on psplus too

Talk about missed opportunity, why not just release Yakuza 5 instead? Seeing as Yakuza 4 has taken nearly 5 years, to suddenly become available on PSN plus...

Surely it can't take that long to translate Yakuza 5 to English....its Sega dragging their heels as usual.....in getting the bigger title out..

Those three PS4 games are all fantastic looking. I've been holding out since launch, using only trials, but it looks like I might finally be making the plunge and subscribing to PS+...

God Sony you guys are making it hard for me to get rid of my PS3. "just when I thought I was out..." - M. Corleone

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
I think in Killzones case people just want to download a big file, play it for an hour, and then come on here to bitch about how bad of a game it is. It gives them something to post about. Surely nobody actually wants to play it (if you do, i'm sorry).

Yeah, Killzone just isn't a good game.. and a free bad game is still a bad game.

I just couldn't muster up the energy for more than a few hours of it.. and I paid for it.

hmmm. why have u never bought PS+? I'd honestly like to know. You don't have to buy a year; there are 1 month & 3 month options (both cheap).

I've been meaning to play Transistor so this month is worth it just for that. I might try Yakuza 4 since I've heard quite a bit about that series.

I don't see why people think this is devaluing indie games, at the end of the day if I think a game looks decent I'll buy it, I won't sit there and think it may be discounted or free in 6 months time.

I just never felt right with the fact the games won't work if I'm not subscribed angle. But to be honest I haven't seen value like this until now, Rogue Legacy and Transistor are both games I've been eyeing for a while, and that Ancient Greek game rings a bell in mind as well, must've seen it at PS Experience or something like that.

I recently claimed the 6 months free for the 2011 PS+ outage but that won't be getting activated till later in the year I think. Wish I had it now lol.

First time i actually own a couple of titles, but both transistor(that soundtrack! That gameplay!) and rogue legacy(so addictive!) were worth my euros.
Apotheon looks awesome, will try for sure, reminds a bit of guacamelee.

Great lineup!

What kind of game is Yakuza 4? I've always been mildly interested in the series, but I'd like to get into it. Like, what genre of game? Is there combat? If so, is it turn-based or real time? In my limited view of the games, I've never seen enough to tell what it really is.

Yakuza games are Beat'em-ups with RPG elements. It's Japanese wackiness and manly ass kicking topped off with rockin' Karaoke minigames.

Thief only on PS3.

Otherwise, great month.

Update: Oh shit, didn't recognize Apotheon from the name, stoked now!

Thief 2014 was pretty meh, you're better off with Styx if you want a Thief game.

Shenmue with better combat.

(exploration RPG set in a part of Tokyo. Beat'em Up style fighting through the city for leveling up. high-drama crime story with romanticized Yakuza culture, while the quests and rest of the game don't take themselves series at all. Also tons of mini games.)

Omg ps plus saved. Renewing my subscription, I forgive you Sony for the terrible October to December lineups

Seriously Killzone + Knack are way worse games than Rogue Legacy or Transistor.

Why anyone wold be remotely interested in Knack is beyond me. That game is trash. It looked trash before it was released, and so proved to be trash when it was farted out onto shelves.

Killzone is just a turd sprinkled with glitter.

Transistor is miles better than both of them.

A fantastic month.

This month is a winner thanks to Transistor alone.
Having played any Yakuza game, only the Yakuza 3 demo, so that could be a good surprise as well.
