Review embargo not being up yet isn't inspiring confidence from me. I'm sure it won't be a bad game, but it feels like they want to sell it on hype then let reviewers be like "yeah it's pretty good."

Keep in mind the game releases on a Friday and not a Tuesday. We're still over a week before release.

I just went from "I think I'll buy a PS4" to "nah" after seeing those waist-high sandbags randomly placed through the streets. Do developers even try to explain this sort of shit?

LOL !

This thread really went to shit. Feels like an intense NPD thread but it's not NPD.

As for me, The Order looks like the best graphically intense game to grace our generation. It also looks like a blast to play ! An adrenaline rush of sick graphics and fun gunplay. Why so much hate ?

I guess haters gonna hate in this thread.

You are going to make sure you starve yourself for a few days prior to the 20th to make room for all the crows.

What? Game will lose CA and grain filter on launch? Or will look less blurry?

What's most important, and I'm sure you know that, is that motion aliasing and sub-pixel resolve in this game will be far better than any 900p with FXAA could ever hope for, no matter what it looks like in static screens. That's the thing with the order. It looks stable as hell while in motion, it's in good part what contributes to its movie-cg look. We'll see after all, maybe the game like Uncharted 1/2 will have option switches to enable/disbale various post processing effects once you complete the game.
Non of which are thanks to CA, Motion Blur, Grain Filter and DoF.
Ok DoF can count for reducing aliasing if DoF the background all the time, like for example in God of War 3.

Still, how does this really change my point?

Ps. I'll take slight blur vs aliasing any day of the week in gameplay, but they blurred it too much, than they had too.
Ps2. I'm not even going to comment on posters who quoted me and didnt even read small two sentences ...

I'm not getting the hate. Everything about this game looks fantastic! Is something wrong with me?

No. I'm cautiously optimistic about the game. It is top notch visually and I'm in love with the setting and Lycans of course are my weakness, so I gotta get in to see. Nothing wrong with some spectacle games here and there. As long as you're not hypocritical about it and only like spectacle games on certain platforms or whatever.

That said, the AI looks weak, but we'll see how it plays out. Every game has it's own distinct strengths and weaknesses.

Looks ok i guess....

I mean for a console game it looks great but my PC was capable of these graphics in 2003. Its only logical.

I don't know if you're taking the piss but I'm gonna bite: you're talking utter bullshit and you need to prove it with a statement like this. Images of a PC game from 2003 that looked as good as The Order.

We're going to need a bigger board.

Ha ha, this is great!

Also, I still vote for:
The Order: 1886 |OT| I'm Lycan your Moustache

Ok. You win. The game is too blurry. Too much grain filter, too much motion blur, shame on RAD.

It certainly LOOKS fantastic. But I think some of the concerns about length and number of scripted QTE sections are legitimate. I'm excited for the game, but it is far from a sure thing in my book until I hear positive reviews (from GAF and elsewhere).

I'll give you the QTE/gameplay concerns, sure. The length doesn't seem to be an issue though, we have numerous reports of 10+ hour playthroughs.

This post is a simply awesome (I know you are being sarcastic, of course)!

Anyway, nice screeshots, not the best one from the Order, but well, it's a direct feed after all.

Watching this first hour of gameplay and good god this game looks unreal. It looks like a watch dogs level tech demo that is actually the real game. I'm getting more and excited for the game. All I want a decent playing game with a great story, that's all i want to go along with the aesthtics.

Was on the fence about this game for a long time, but it looks down right amazing and I think it's going to do very well and surprise a lot of people.. including me. I'll support these devs for making such a fine looking piece of game art alone.

Should have a copy of the game either tomorrow or by end of the week. If allowed, I'll capture some footage to share with everyone here.

The picture needs a gun icon in the bottom right (just above the black bar), and then in the black bar portion beneath it, "not putting icons in black bars".
