Just one more week.......
Never played a Souls game so not sure what I maybe getting myself into. I did just start playing Lords of the Fallen for xb1 that I got during that sales mistake for $9 or whatever and im definitely liking it but I do find it somewhat difficult.
This game looks awesome from what I've seen but not sure if id get super frustrated and just rage quit haha

Get it. It's difficult but fair. You'll find plenty of help on the forums and I'm sure plenty of people willing to help out co-op wise if you need it. The quality of these games is such that you'll forget that Lords of the Fallen even exists.

It comes down to managing expectations. You won't beat this game in a week. Might not even beat it in a month. Go into it knowing that you're settling in for the long haul.
Don't be disappointed if you play for several hours and only make a little bit of progress. Remember, long haul.
One of the best traits of the Souls games is the immense sense of satisfaction they reward you with. PERSEVERE!

You will at least know the controls and some of the mechanics from LOTF...that's half the battle. Just take yor time , bait enemy attacks, and punish their attack trecovery animation.
Of course...did demons over before ds2 release and this time am doign SOTC...but ifI get done ebfore BB releases its back to another Demons' run!
Seems like they're trying to mix the community's favorite aspects of each game into Bloodborne. So you have your separate HUB, the level up waifu, but there aren't individual levels, the dungeons are all part of an interconnected world as it is in Dark Souls.
In my opinion, that makes it more like Dark Souls than Demon's Souls, if I have to choose between those two options.
Have you been living under the rock? Since the first day various media and even From said it's a successor to Demons.
In lotf they give most enemies a shield and no way to hit them from behind. I resorted to beating the whole game spamming one special move. Not much fun in comparison. Souls games do not resort to such cheap tactics. If you even remotely like lotf you will love bloodborne.

I'm on NG+ on LOTF this time trying to play more of a Bloodborne type style meaning I'm being more aggressive and less hiding behind a shield. Keep playing LOTF because the combat is similar but way better in the souls games. The bosses are a little tricky if you're not used to that kind of combat but like every game there is a trick to it and part of that is dying while learning their pattern. There where bosses on Dark souls that just kicked my ass over and over. The next time around i faced on NG+ it was so rewarding to punish those bastards because now I knew what to expect. For me thats a big part of the fun in these games.

All impressions point to a pretty stable 30 FPS so far.
Easy way is this:
summon someone and have them cut her tail with their first attack before she's aggro'ed.
Now platinuming Demon's is so much worse. I had a pure Bladestone drop on my EU version, but on my USA version I've tried at least 50 times. And I've never successfully killed the crystal lizards that drop the pure darkmoonstone either. Stuck at 95% forever on that one.
