The 1600 pixels versions on our site are free to download and print for your own use. These are high-res enough to make a good computer wallpaper and to appreciate all the details.

The originals we created these prints from are 1GB files at 300dpi :)

Ah, okay. As long as you're okay with it!
Also, please do Shenmue!

Can't wait for my prints to arrive. (ordered all of them except SOR and Shinobi)

While we're make suggestions: the next print set should include Phantasy Star 2, then 3 and 4. A complete set of Phantasy Star prints would be amazing.

They're all great.

I'd definitely buy the AM#2 classics if you're looking to do other Sega properties...

  • Sega Rally
  • AfterBurner
  • Daytona USA
  • Virtua Fighter
  • Virtua Cop

Virtua Fighter is a go.

SEGA Rally, Daytona, Outrun have the difficulty that they feature real-world cars and logo's so we would need to sort rights issues for those. Ferrari (outrun) especially is hard to get.

Panzer Dragoon and REZ, two of my personal faves, also have complicated rights issues. But I hope we will figure it out!

Thanks, I'm sure you'll love 'em. Give it a couple of days to ship as we have quite a volume of orders coming in but once they ship it usually doesn't take longer than 3 or 4 days to arrive.

Shipping is fully insured too.

Glad you like 'em.

We are going to do project with other classic (SEGA) games as well. What game do we really need to tackle would you say? And if you know artists we should engage, let me know. Here is the whole set by the way. More at www.candb.com

I wonder if you know any artists who is into Gunstar Heroes? I know that Han's character graphics are iconic, I wonder what kind of twist would happen in the art print.

A classic Sega racer free of rights issues I'd love to see is Virtua Racing. The flat shaded art style is oddly timeless too I think.

Panzer Dragoon is a must. Do whatever it takes PLEASE!

Well, we just started. There is bound to be an artists showing up who like Gunstar :)

Like em all except Streets Of Rage, which reminds me too much of Sunset Overdrive style or something. Would've liked to see more of a 80s/90s action movie take on that.

This just makes me sad. Phantasy Star was so great and they ruined it by turning it into Diablo. I have nothing against PSO and played it a lot back in the Dreamcast days, but I wish they had created it as a new IP and kept making traditional Phantasy Star RPGs as well. Sigh.

CookBeck, if you haven't figured it out yet, we really really need a SHINING FORCE one.

Oh it's been mentioned? Not enough.

Good eye. Julien Renoult who did the Streets of Rage one was the lead concept artist on Sunset Overdrive.

I'm not digging that Shinobi poster, despite III being one of my favorite games. I am, however, in love with the Phantasy Star poster even though I'm not a fan of the non-Online series.

The Phantasy Star one is incredible. Please do a poster for Phantasy Star II, III & IV.

Also Panzer Dragoon.

But why is it so expensive? Is it because of the hand-numbering, certificate of authenticity and artificial scarcity? Because I really don't care about all that.

I would imagine to pay the artist first and foremost, not to mention the production costs, license fees (?) and coordinator's time.

It's not like these will sell in the thousands, allowing them to charge a cheaper price. I think it's pretty niche.

The price is completely fair imo.

As for the price of these prints. What everybody that bought one will experience when they receive it: these are Certified Art Giclees - not posters - made with the very best of materials. Then the artists needs to get paid, license fee, packing and shipping etc.

In fact, if it wasn't for a generous deal from SEGA, the retail price would have to be a lot higher. C&B's normal pricing for prints of this size starts at +/- $200.

I love when these are done but I can't stand limited print numbers. I loved the Okami ones but couldn't get my hands on one the day they were released because of that.

There is no reason for artificially inflating the price of these by only making a hundred or so. It's 2015, just make enough to for whoever wants them; same goes for Mondo.

Also not a fan of the Jet Set Radio one, buy Golden Axe and Phantasy Star look amazing.

Yeah, any chance we can just get these on regular posters once the LE run is completed?

I hope you offer something cheaper in the future (preferably something less than $50).

That Shinobi piece is a bit underwhelming. It's drawn well, but the scene depicted isn't as inspiring as the other 4, and Joe Musashi's outfit shouldn't be skin tight. Please put up another Shinobi piece if possible.

Is there any way to sign up to be notified when these are released?

If you've bought something from us you are automatically VIP (so you're good ;) and receive a notification via email usually two days before new prints are launched. Gives you a good chance to pick up low edition numbers as well.

Otherwise we also announce via our newsletter (sign up on our homepage). Our Twitter or Instagram also and FB, but if you like our page on FB it does not mean you see all our updates because Facebook killed organic reach. Safest bet, email for newsletter.

We'll see if we can do an open, smaller edition alongside the limited editions or a least a version with smaller dimensions.

I think the Phantasy Star one is incredible, I'd love to see Burning Rangers or Dragon Force get a similar treatment.

Sega Rally, Chu Chu Rocket and Samba De Amigo spring to mind as other games I think would be great to see what your artists could come up with.

Yeaaaaah...I'm in for Panzer Dragoon. Maybe even VF, too.

Hearing that Space Harrier is in the next run is a godsend. One of my favorite games ever - and it hardly gets any love. So psyched.

Saw a couple of Alex Kidd nominations in here, and I agree. Even better than that though: Hang On/Safari Hunt. Almost every SMS owner knows this classic combo - and seeng an artist's take on super bikes crossed with the jungle would be hilariously amazing!

Hang On/Safari Hunt print - make it happen!

The Phantasy Star one is really awesome, but it's a bit too rich for my blood, since FedEx + customs would probably bump it to around $300.

I might bite the bullet for a Space Harrier or Outrun one, tho.

Cook Beck, would you guys consider doing one for The House of the Dead and Gunstar Heroes? Both games meant a lot to me growing up due to being able to play them with a friend that is no longer around, sadly. Thanks for considering this at least.
