Horizon: Zero Dawn Trailer (Guerrilla, post-apocalyptic pre-historic adventure)

Man.... this was fucking incredible

LOOOVE Guerilla Games and so happy how this turned out. Also, can't give their internal artists enough credit. Total God-tier they are.

So far this is the highlight of E3 so far. Knowing it's a huge open world RPG with this style and concept, and the visuals... it's my dream game, if, well, Last Guardian wasn't coming out which is actually a game I've dreamed about.

But a dream game nonetheless!

why would you even make robodinos to start with? that's just......

I think the fictional world this game inhabits is going to be quite silly but the narrative and characters could still be good and the open world rpg with combat and graphics like that is off the fucking hook.

For the new page.
We’re thrilled to introduce our brand-new third-person action RPG, Horizon Zero Dawn! Watch the trailer above to catch your first glimpse of the game!

Horizon Zero Dawn is set in a lush, beautiful open world where nature has reclaimed the ruins of a forgotten civilization. It is a world where mankind is not the dominant species, and highly advanced machines sit at the top of the food chain. You play as Aloy, a young outcast from a tribal society, who has learned to hunt the machines. Intent on unraveling the many mysteries that surround her, Aloy embarks on a quest that will lead her to discover her own destiny.

Along the way, Aloy will face off against an entire menagerie of machines – some traveling in herds, others roaming in solitude, all of them presenting a formidable danger. You will need to learn their behaviors, attack patterns and weak points in order to survive. You must use the beautiful environments to your advantage, and employ stealth, agility, and cunning to approach your prey unseen.
Of course, you won’t be hunting unarmed in Horizon Zero Dawn. Aloy is capable of combining natural materials with machine parts to turn them into ingenious weapons, ammunition, traps, and tools. By cleverly using the right items at the right moment, you can exploit weak points and bring down even the largest machines. Unfortunately, the most dangerous machines aren’t necessarily the biggest…

Horizon Zero Dawn is scheduled for a 2016 release, and we’ll have additional details for you in the coming months.

Game looked fantastic. Conceptually, visually, gameplay potential. Looking forward to reading/seeing more of it, hopefully soon.

I was getting major Last of Us vibes from that trailer, though the action seems to be a bit faster-paced. And we have Geth animals instead of zombies.

And robot giraffes!

I guess they had a lot of creativity being held back from the Killzone Franchise, it's true, pressure makes diamonds.

I wonder if this will have multiplayer/co-op like we implied from the concept art.

This game feels right up my alley. Especially with a redhead main protag. Amongst all the crazy reveals this one stood out.

My wallet's not looking forward to 2016. The list of days ones just keeps getting longer and so is the current backlog.

I knew Guerrilla games would hit like a ton of bricks when they got away from Killzone baggage. Their production design is off the charts.

edit - I mean...

Game of E3 so far, this shit was incredible.

Hopefully the final boss will be a soviet robot dino, who will argue philosophy with you before the fight.

After all Ive looked at from MS and Sony, this is definitely the most impressive "new" thing actually shown to me. Y'all wanted new IP's, well here you go! Im excited to see more, looks very interesting and unique.

hope they give us more info on the rpg elements or whatever it is, the artstyle is absolutely incredible. dont think i have ever seen robodinos before but more than that, the gameplay looked good.

give us more info gg

This is easily my favourite of the entirely original stuff I've seen this E3. While the style isn't fully established yet if it's some sort of open-world western Monster Hunter I just hope the combat doesn't fall apart too easily and the monster variety is there.

This came after the epic TLG re-reveal and it still wowed me. Open world RPG robot dinosaurs. You can even use the parts you blown off against them. Amazing!

GG is incredible. There is nothing like a brand new IP that looks jaw-dropping, incredibly luring and all out amazing. Kudos to GG and I'll definitely keep a close eye on this and others WWS creations.
