you, razmos, ezekal, all 100% town. I probably would have pushed for a different target the day we lynched kitty if I hadn't been so convinced zeke was town.
retro was like 75% town but every time he gave reads I had to scratch my head a little bit, I had a hard time understanding where he was coming from.

Any town who reads the mafia thread will soon realize that they were in fact the monsters. I'm trying to protect valuable assets from future moral dillemas.

Although many innocents were slaughtered along the way, every death added another piece to the puzzle. It was up to a lone HHA to try and flip the entire script on its head at the end - and damn, did he give a valiant, and near-successful effort.
It came down to tense, powerful finish, but Town prevailed at the final hour.

Best Scum - Darryl
If you dig hard enough through the dead thread, you will find that we thought the mafia in this game played very well. The HHA's team work and coordination was excellent. They worked together to react to new developments in the game.
HHA's secret chat ended up with 1,332 posts - compare that to Hutt Mob's 635, and the 1st Gen game's Mafia with 530. Hobohodo, Ourobolus, and franconp made up a team that was on top of this game from very early on, and they all deserve to be commended for it.
....then they found Darryl. Darryl was someone I was watching from the beginning, because of how many ballsy moves he made and how he seemed intent on pushing people's buttons. For all the careful planning and coordination the main Team HHA was doing, Darryl was off on his own, just blowing shit up. At some point, I wondered if Darryl somehow didn't see the part of his role about who's team he's on.
But he made it to the end. We all held our breaths in the dead thread when he was the only one left. How far would he make it? How many people could he piss off? How many times will he skirt death? A lot of us alternated from "Fuckin' Darryl" to "#TeamDarryl". I'm so glad that he found it in him to deliver what was almost a convincing speech at the end.
Best Town - EzekelRAGE
Similar to the Scum category, it's hard not to commend everyone for doing a good job (of course, you guys won!). Even though there weren't many special roles in this game, a lot of players became memorable characters of their own by bringing some kind of personality into the game. I can't think of a single player who didn't contribute something to the game.
Those of you who DID have roles did a good job of using them - especially in an unusual game like this. The Gossip thing worked really well, though I was shocked that you guys put it right out in the open at the beginning instead of keeping it a secret. It could have ultimately been a trap for Town - this really cool thing that was actually infiltrated by spies. By putting it out in the open, you cut right through it.
But the Townie who impressed me the most was EzekelRAGE. Here's a player who came in as a sub, got dealt an Ordinary Villager role, and had to catch up to play. Even then, he showed up every day and put in a fantastic effort to provide Town with informative maps and lists, and keep everyone organized - this was an incredible aid in Town figuring out some of the finer points of the game. EzekelRAGE sets the example that an Ordinary Villager can still be a powerful player.
Special Mentions
First of all, I'd like to give a special mention to the new and less experienced mafia players in my group. You guys seemed to sweat a little at times, maybe doubt yourself at times, but you all did a great job. I hope this was a fun experience, and I really hope you all play again.
ultron87 - I feel like you were (randomly!) placed into this really crazy tight spot, and I was afraid you were going to rage-quit, or just not engage with the game...especially considering the rivalry we had in the first game. This wasn't revenge! But you didn't rage-quit. You actually carried the game through to a pivotal moment, used your power, and moved the game forward. Thanks for playing, man. You're a great asset to these games.
franconp - Likewise, you were in a very tough spot, but you stayed calm and made the right decision to claim what you did - and it was a role claim that gave your side some interesting new uses for your power. I think you were one of the best players in this game.
Tomakasatnav - Your name is Toma Kasatnav, Russian spy
RobotNinjaHornets - I didn't really notice you for most of the game, but your endgame was strong; much stronger than the last time.
Salvapot, Hippiehobo, LaunchpadMcQ, nin1000 - Thanks for the laughs, and the popcorn. Good spirits are very important for these games.
freakzilla149 - You more or less disappeared after being run out of town, but I have to answer a question you asked me earlier in the thread ("Are you a game designer?"). The answer is "no". This is actually the first time I've ever put together something like this. But if I had answered you then, the whole game would have been judged differently (same as if I had answered "yes"). Sorry for ignoring you!

Voting on who the best player in the game was , is very hard since everyone played a good game and showed some good sportsmanship. But all in all and after looking back i will ahve to agree that this fellow player right here takes the cake.

Not until i was evicted did i think he could be 100% mafia.
Of course i had my doubts about him being Town but i had doubts about a lot of players in this game.
He was vocal ( but not too vocal ) enough to show interest in the game and he came off as pro town from time to time.
The end was gold aswell, since i thought it was gg already and daryll had no chance of turning this game around he comes off with those epic long posts and confueses RNH.
At that point i was not sure if Town would prevail.

Franconp/Hobo/Ouro were a great team. The only reason I lasted as long as I did anyways was because they willingly let me throw them under the bus, one by one. No hesitation.

I've been rereading a lot and it seems like, somewhere between day 7 and day 8 I got dumb. like real dumb. I ignored all the stuff you and I were going over on day 7, I ignored nin, I ignored everything and bored in on Timeaisis and that is my biggest regret of the whole game. The worst part is I outlined what I expected from a town response to my accusations right after timeaisis started giving them and I wouldn't let up, I think giving him some pressure was correct but the defense was solid enough that I should have let up and moved to another target, It wouldn't have been you that day I think, rather nin should have been the one to go with the hopes of getting you the next day.
There were also points of logic for the longer game that I didn't bring up that I should have. Tom's status and checks were important and I think things would have been cleaner if I had spelled out what they meant for town and how I thought town should proceed in the upcoming days with that information.
That and failing to bring up the issue of your roleclaim on day 8 which would have been the key time to do it. These are the things I regret about my play in the game.

To me, he carried his team on the first half of the game and somehow avoided getting evicted early on with ultron. If he had gotten evicted early on the game the tone and speed of the game would be completely different, and even after hobohodo was taken he was able to carry on and kept the ball rolling for mafia. Sometime we forget that, in the Mafia game, the Mafiosos are actually running against the odds, and trying to not be suspicious can be so so so hard.

You got tunnel vision bad at some point, from what I saw. That's why I said I regretted evicting you. It doesn't matter overall if you dropped the ball later, because if it was anyone else arguing us out earlier we probably would've won the argument. Haly had the answers, but not the drive for example.
Also, I just realized that my eviction message has Lyle opening the conversation with Fuck!

Looking at this post. You thought my vote tied it. King's vote for Salva was 2nd after my vote. Your next post is at 12:59, so it is very likely you saw King's vote for Salva. So in your mind it was 7/6 for Salva. You could've been thinking you don't want anyone to tie it on your HHA friend Hobo, so you take your vote off Hobo at the last minute, making it 7/5 for Salva for you. You don't vote for Salva because you don't want to show up voting for him so you change to another random guy.

Thats where the problem now lies. Now that a certain amount of player think that i am HHA and francorp wants to save his sorry ass he is now trying to press an eviction. The thing is that i believe that squid is just too deep into his own ass that he cant think clear enough and could never in the sven hells admit that i could be indeed town.
