To be fair he was being edged on by the hosts. I don't think it was that serious, he prefaced by saying Ghost is one of his all time favorite MCs. Saying Ghost isn't rapping like he used to should be like saying Kevin Garnett isn't playing like he used to/has lost a step. It's just the reality of the situation.
I definitely agree with the sentiment, his recent output is kinda boring, but I dunno. Just feel like giving Ghost some props and moving on would have been a better look.
Dunno, but IIRC looking at his awkward body language/face immediately afterwards when answering the host it looked like he regretted it the moment it slipped out but then it was too late and he had to go with it, as there wasn't anything he could say now anyway. Don't we all sometimes have those brain fart moments when the attention is all on you where you say something stupid that you didn't even really mean but you just couldn't find the right thing to say fast enough.
