But I don't trust MS to stay committed to their store. They change their mind every couple yearsWe already have to deal with Uplay and Origin. I wish Steam had everything, but this is no different.
MS has had a digital storefront on PC for about a decade. They've had all the time in the world.
Games on the Win10 store come with fucking idiotic limitations, Steam games dont. This is not hard to understand. So you would buy QB if it were on steam?
This logic blows my mind
The overlay issue is the worst. The game runs in a sandbox, you cannot inject overlays, postprocessing effects, apply individual GPU profiles, and other problems.
I agree. They should release the game for iOS and PS4.I really wonder what moron makes these kinds of business decisions, more options = more money.
Cool. Everything doesn't have to be on Steam. PC's aren't Steam consoles as much as Valve would like them to be.

Wait, just so I get this straight: you think a game releasing on the Windows 10 store would not sell more units if it were to release on the Windows 10 store as well as Steam?
I'm not disagreeing with the core logic, but you should probably get that update sorted out anyway. Remember that these updates include stuff like security patches.
Kind of weird to see people think this is shitty of Microsoft when EA and Valve keep their games exclusives to their own clients.
It requires DX12 which is Windows 10 exclusive.
Trying to force gamers onto W10 like they did with Halo2 and Vista.
They really do care about PC gaming.
If anything I'd rather Steam had less domination of the PC market given how shitty Valve's proven themselves to be over the last year.We already have to deal with Uplay and Origin. I wish Steam had everything, but this is no different.
Not sure why anyone is surprised by this really.
People will complain about this (including me) but I doubt it will affect its sales. Windows 10 adoption numbers have been very high, and unlike Origin, the Windows Store is installed already by default.
Why would they release it on Steam? Do you expect Sony to release their games on Xbox?
Bitch about what really? It's W10 only and everyone who can even play it has the necessary client to acquire the game.No one is surprised by this. Doesn't mean we can't bitch about it.

Individual games are short-term ventures compared to services like Steam and Windows Store.I figured they'd do this.
I think it's a long-term bad decision but they want to push W10 and Windows Store adoption above all other priorities, so something has to be sacrificed at that altar.
Fair enough. Although I personally think Windows 10 being a success does not guarantee a game on the Windows 10 store to be a success, so I think they're (calculatedly) leaving money on the table to prop up their exclusive offerings.I should have clarified in my post, what I meant was that I don't think the game will sell badly. I think enough people will suck it up and still buy it on the Windows Store for it to be a success.
Obviously it would sell even better if it was on Steam too. No brainer. But people acting like this is an automatic dud and dead-on-arrival are ignoring how much of a success Windows 10 has been for MS.
Windows 10 being a success doesn't mean the store is a success, and with how developers have been treating the W10 Store and the grumbling from them I don't think they're very impressed with it so far.I should have clarified in my post, what I meant was that I don't think the game will sell badly. The windows store sucks though. Its not in any way shape or form remoteky as useful as Steam.
Oh yes, giving time to s to fix up their shit seems reasona- oh wait someone's yelling me they already a little thing called GFWL for more than a decade that fucked up beyond belief. There's no reason to believe they will actually put any effort now.Does no one remember the early days of steam? you have to give win10 store some time.
Finding content is pretty easy, the design is modern unlike Steam and its seven (?) year old UI.
