Speaking of rebirths, I wonder what episode will Jon be revived in? Episode 4s tend to have big moments in the series, I'd bet on that one.

They won't take longer than an episode or two. Jon's story will be one of the most important and we know he has to make it all the way to Wintefell to participate in a big battle, likely in episode 9. So they need time to build that. They can't wait long.

I think Jon will 'come back' in the first episode, but Davos will have to defend him for 10 minutes while Jon's haki re-fills. Those 10 minutes will take until ep 6.

What are they chances that we will get lady Stoneheart?

I haven't read anything but seems like it should be really good if they're going back to the riverlands in Season 6 and bringing the Freys back.

Well it's more I want somebody hanging lots of Freys and Brienne. I would be ok with the Blackfish taking over that role.

The Tower of Joy sequence will culminate in Jon rising up.

The Castlevania 2 crawl will read "What a terrible night to be a Targaryen."

Melisandre will literally melt into a puddle of tits.

The top of Aliser Thorne's head will serve as a board for Whitewalker checkers, with Olly's officiating.

Honestly...I'm tired. I just want the show to be over. Let Arya be happy. Get Sansa a new dog and a new husband that isn't a creep. Let Bran permanently upload himself to the Tree Internet and live out the rest of his days as a piece of wood. And, for the love of god, please take Dany to Westeros.

Let my suffering end, it's been so long.

"He looked at what the Dornish called a 'burrito'. It was minced meat wrapped in some light, flat bread, which seemed to be grilled. Taking a whiff, he could make out the strong scent of onion and Dornish peppers. Intrigued, he took a bite. The crumbliness of the meat, mixed with the juices of the peppers having softened the bread, caused the contraption come apart almost instantly. He chewed, feeling the oily texture of the stuffing slither down his throat like a snake made of fat, while the spices overpowered his senses, nearly bringing tears to his eyes. As his Dornish host looked upon his guest with concern, he swallowed, and coughed, but gave a thumbs up to signal his host that he was fine.
Little did he know that whenever something goes in, it would also have to come out..."

There should be melted butter mentioned somewhere, and the conclusion needs to include grease running down his chin.

so...TWOW in 2016 ya or nah?

Who knows. I know he said he's dropped other projects, but he also lost any incentive he had to finish it as soon as possible. Without a doubt, the TV show will end before Dream of Spring is out. So what's the point in rushing? It could come out in 2018 for all we know.

Wait, we know this? How?

The season being good I mean. ToJ is hugely important. It's not just any scene.

Are we sure of that? Does the identity of Jon's parents really matter? I'm not sure you can say for sure at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very excited to see it, but I think it's a little much to say a season of TV hinges on a flashback scene that likely confirms a parentage that many have already assumed.

It's mere existence in the show despite 5 seasons passing since it was in the source material confirms that it matters. They wouldn't bother with all of this if it was just a cool flashback. And Jon's parentage is important enough that it was the first thing GRRM asked D&D about when they met to make a TV series.

Does the season hinge on that one scene? Probably not, but it's difficult to make a compelling argument that Jon's parentage is unimportant.

ToJ scene will be a success for me if Arthur Dayne is in immaculate snow-white regalia, and Dawn actually looks like a shimmering, pale sword full of stars. I realize this will not happen but I can dream.

Not a chance. If anything Sansa will absorb part of LSH because she is a sponge character now.

I would greatly prefer that if you could make that make sense. But I can't imagine her killing anyone any time soon looking at how she ended the season, much less being like LSH.

I want Arthur Dayne to be amazingspectacular but sadly I think it'll just be a dull fusion of Dayne and Hightower with Arthur's name attatched.

I really hope the series doesn't end with a battle of good vs. evil.

I thought the series was about how the quest for power ultimately destroys humanity.

Things get progressively worse for everyone until the Whitewalkers kill everyone or the humans just barely kill them. Pleasant dreams.

Well I'm talking more about the plotlines honestly, she took Jeane Poole's story but she didn't really become Jeanne Poole, whatever importance LSH has in the overall plot she will fill those gaps.

I'm not saying it will happen for sure only that it is a possibility.

my guess has always been that the tower of joy is the cold opening of the season, it obviously ends with lyanna and neds promise which is immediately followed by jon waking up

Dorne really felt like they had no idea what GRRM was gonna do with in the novels, so they decided to just be like "Hey guys, Dorne exists too! Have some tits and bad pussy and poison because that's what the Dornish do! kk cya."

These few seconds are the perfect summary of the Dorne plot in the show.

Also I'm still upset that the intro sequence said "Dorne" and not "Sunspear".

What's hilarious about this is that the handkerchief had to be inserted via CG because it didn't move they way they wanted it to... and the shot is still pathetic.

Hahaha oh my god. That makes it even funnier. Even the CG handkerchief is an absolute failure. What a fitting metaphor for this entire part of season 5.

Pretty sure I've now been spoiled on some big event that Jon is rumored to be a part of. C'mon people, not everyone has read all the set reports and leaked Spanish stuff. Cover your spoilers!

EW continuing in their series of hyperbolic article titles:

- EW: Game of Thrones staged TV's biggest battle ever for season 6
“We wondered, ‘Why don’t you see more fully fleshed-out battles in movies and TV?’” said Dan Weiss, is showrunner on the series along with David Benioff. “Then you get into the nitty-gritty of what it takes to actually shoot these things in a way that isn’t just helter-skelter chaos but actually gives you a sense of battle geography and the ebb and flow, and you realize why.”

The sequence is in an episode directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who won widespread praise last season for staging “Hardhome.” Shooting the battle took about a month of principal photography. “Migel did such a fantastic job with ‘Hardhome’ we thought we should bring him back – this time with horses,” Benioff said. “Horses are not easy, at all. And certainly in terms of numbers – number of extras, number of stuntmen, number of shooting days – it’s the biggest we’ve done.”

I'll delete a few posts and tidy it up.

For those of you that aren't clear on the rules, please read the OP again. Thanks.
