Oh it will probably die very dramatically and then the boy will suicide and then his mom and his ex will commit double suicide k.o. instantly.

After reflecting on this I've realized I've seen Hachi: A Dog's Tale. No way it could ever be worse than that.

"it looks great."

wait ... what?

Everyone else in NeoGAF seems to agree but do we not realize its PS3 graphics and extremely blurry footage? After the massive outcry of year before lasts for the last guardian, which results sony recognizing the fans of TLG and say game is in development, which I bet was put back into development recent before or after that statement. All this time before the game as been collecting dust, they are in full development now I bet but still everything we seen is likely been completed before the game was shelved.

We need to remember a game was shelved for a reason we do not know (I don't at least) This game likely needs to be remade completely. I feel the game was shelved for a reason as reason to remake the game while using those characters in something that works better. I bet this game will not do as good as we hope it will.

Is any of this footage even new? Looks similar to every video we've ever seen to me. But my memory is probably fuzzy after waiting over 50 years for this game.

Fidelity isn't everything. Art direction, aesthetic, and atmosphere matter just as much if not more

It really doesn't matter that the graphics look PS3-tier (which is doesn't because the animations and details like the feathers and whatnot couldn't be done there with such fluidity)

Uh yes we do know why it was shelved. It could not run on ps3 at a reasonable framerate. They had to wait for ps4 hardware to get the game running at a playable framerate.

I am pointing out two things.

1. The game just got pulled off the shelf, meaning game needs lot more work still, I'd hope they would improve the look of the game which cant be too hard to do. but speaks how far they actually gotten with the game development, if was in development longer for ps4 the graphics would of been already improved drastically.

2. The game was unshelved because of our voices (money), however how they will treat this game is what concerns me strangely, who is working on the game, who is directing it now if not the original developers. Are they going to just rush it out or release it ignoring the reasons they shelved it in the first place? (if the reason was a good one.)

Is the game going to be better for what happened or is it going to be crippled, we will have to see. I do not have a ps4 so I'd love to see them keep their promise and release it for ps3 haha *Sob*

wha? why would they shelve a game over graphics?

edit: looked at the source you posted...

I strongly want to call BS on that. There were lot more detailed games for ps3 than TLG. I struggle to believe that :l

It was running at like 15 FPS at best that is why.

The fact that game stop expo gets the best last gaurdian trailer... Will it be playable at TGS? Anyways, glad I pre-ordered. Spoilers in the trailer remind me of my need for a black out, but I just can't look away... Can't look away.

Edit: looks like Sony has skipped TLG at their booth at TGS here's hoping some journalists get a preview.

So...
the shadow at the beginning of the trailer belongs to the (now old) kid that finds the old shield that he used with Trico and laugh because of the memories.

Imho

Now what's the next step in your master plan?

I can't think of many games made for the consoles that have animations as fluid and believable as Trico's are. Seriously they are massively impressive and would have been out of this world on the PS3 but we are well informed at this point on its development issues. Ueda is also a perfectionist so I can see why he wouldn't have dared release a game in such a poor state as TLG was for the PS3.

The game does look great from we have seen which is not much but unless reviews are abysmal I will be picking this up near launch.

People should really see how impressive TLG is via high bitrate videos, these youtube videos don't do this game justice at all. Would love to see the IQ improvements form the .Pro though. The PS4 version was already looking very good/sharp from E3 earlier this year.

looked at the source, am just surprised the ps3 could not handle that. as much i was surprised ps3 could play the last of us and etc. but I do have memories how ps3 just ran so poorly even in the OS menus.
It may not be The Last of Us or God of War Ascension, but don't underestimate the animations or those fine details like the movement of individual feathers

The environment may look like a PS3 game, but if after even a short glance at Toriko itself you think the game as a whole has "PS3 graphics", then it's you who needs to power up your PS3 and remember what can actually run on one.

The game was unshelved because of our voices (money)

This is pure speculation on your part.

And this is straight up WTF are you talking about.

Who said it was graphics? Do you have any idea what this game is actually doing? It's not like they could simplify some geometry, downgrade shadow resolution and call it a day. The game couldn't do even half of what it was supposed to in the timeframe considered minimum for a decent experience.

I get worked up every time I see Trico struggling. I know this game is going to have me bawling (in a manly sort of way).

I wish the calendar wasn't making me choose between this and GR2.
