YesCan you not backup to a portable HDD and transfer that way?
And how long would a 500gb console take over Ethernet?
I'm going to use a USB drive. I'm just going to copy a few save files. I'll download the apps and digital games later, on the Pro.
If you're a PS+ member, your Saves are in the cloud, so you can just download them later, along with everything else. (I'm not a PS+ member, so I'm using a USB drive.)
There are other ways, too, I'm sure.
Can anyone tell me how I can verify this? I'm only concerned with my saves.
If I were to sell my PS4 before I purchase a Pro, how would I transfer over PT to the Pro? Or is that not possible if I don't have the original console to transfer from.

If the console you play on is set to primary and you have ps+ it should upload to the cloud at night. Otherwise upload all that manually before you sell it.

I know it doesn't seem to be anything officially saying on gamestop's website that they have any sort of trade in special if you trade a regular in for the pro.
Has there been anything leaked or hinted at anywhere that might imply they'll give a good bonus for trading in one towards a pro? It would certainly help for me to make the decision if I wanna pick up my preorder or not.
Multiple people have all said no one at GS knows. When I went they even told me they found out about the $200 Xbox one S trade in promo two days before it started. It makes sense if GS doesn't trust people to not leak stuff to just keep the employees in the dark until a couple days before. Dumb way to do business, but I get it.

Amazon accepted my launch PS4 +extra controller as the bundle (I didn't buy them as a bundle)
So I got $204 for that
PRO is paid off
Decided to do it the easy way and traded in my PS4 at a EBGames here in Canada. Enrolled for their stupid club card online the day before to get a few extra bucks. Got $210 trade in credit towards the Pro so that's certainly easier than selling it locally or something.
I'm planning on trading in my launch PS4 Gamestop. Will they flip out that I upgraded it to a 1TB HDD?
Does anyone know exactly what Gamestop requires for the trade-in? Is it just the console and the power cable/controller or what?
That applied to The PS4 Pro? I'm rather happy going this route if it means $200 for my PS4.Here's what the GameStop deal was at that time (I guess, I didn't take advantage myself)

Also, the microUSB for the controller. If you forget it, they will make you buy one to include in the package.
It came with the micro USB of course. That's the only way to connect a controller the first time (and later charge it). New controllers don't even come with the cable. You only get the micro USB with your original PS4. So yes, most places seem to require that for trade inAre you sure the microUSB for the controller is required? When I traded in my XBOX ONE console last yr all they wanted were the HDMI cable, controller, power cables, and of course the XBOX ONE..so I figured for the PS4 I would be required to bring them the same..I dont even remember my PS4 coming with a microusb cable
Put the 500GB back. Most places need it to be a stock model and won't have a SKU or permission to accept any changes.I put a 2TB drive in my launch PS4. Will Gamestop or Best Buy offer more trade in value or am I better off putting a 500GB back into it?

So eBay did something strange. Essentially they said I'm guaranteed $250 for my PS4 auction if I use their recommend settings (starting price, shipping, etc) even if it sells for less. They'll give me the remainder in eBay credit.
This seems like a really solid deal for a used PS4.
Link?

Dino they care if the analog stick nub has a tiny piece of rubber gone?
It's not my fault Sony made faulty controllers.
Yes they care and it's not their fault either so you will lose the difference.
No specific link; it was when I was creating my auction. There was a big button that said "use eBay's recommended settings" where you would normally enter pricing information.
