I agree. I HATE THIS GAME. But they could do something good with the formula, I think.

The true Metroid 5.......

Thing is they said the game would be an action game focused on multiplayer. I don't see a traditional RPG being that.

Yeah I know.

A guy can dream :(

Maybe Pikmin World is YARN PIKMIN.

Also I am 100% expecting a Yoshi's Wooly World port to the Switch. Maybe not at E3, but one day. Speaking of ports, give me a Box Boy or Pushmo collection.

Since it was ported to 3DS, it is rather one of the wiiu game that has the least chance to come to switch IMO. Would love some BB and Pushmo collections or even better some new eshop games from HAL and IS on Switch. Their 3DS efforts were great.

How would you guys react if they brought back The Conduit in a big way? Not a port or whatever, but like a really solid new sci-fi FPS for Switch? (dual-stick controls instead of pointer obvi)

I'd be down. The Switch is just waiting for a solid FPS a la Killzone Mercenary.

At this point, I'm still foolishly hoping for some massive troll where Nintendo and Game Freak announce Pokémon Stars during the spotlight. I know there's like 0% chance of that happening, but this is the hill I want to die on!

Otherwise, Mario is the thing I'm most excited for. I'd love to get information on Virtual Console as well.

I don't think there's a 0% chance, especially since the rumours were so freakin' heavy. Eurogamer, the 4chan "leak", the HD assets in Sun and Moon, etc. For all the doubters, all signs pointed to "yes". It would be a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

I'm with you though. I have my pie in the sky dreams, but the realistic side of me just wants to see more Mario, everything else is just gravy. I honestly don't think we'll be getting VC info though, I really do feel like that's tied in with their online service that's been delayed til' next year.

I hope they have to spend the whole time explaining just how amazing the new Mario will be. Leave everything else to directs.

If they just show trailers and release dates and not a lot of talking and its all Switch games, the time is just fine

Save the talking and explanations for Treehouse live

I dont wanna see Pokken, Splatoon 2, Arms, in it we have seen enough they had there own Directs

Anybody else expecting a Splatoon 2 Direct?
Got a feeling we might get one in July

I would be surprised if it didn't. I expect that it would go over anything we don't already know, as well as announcing the first bits of the DLC pipeline they have in store for the game.

I don't think we will, I think that Summer trailer was your Pokken, Splatoon and Arms direct.

Definitely expecting up. Despite the recent dump if news this week from their Twitter page, we still don't know what will be in the main game at launch and how some modes interact with each other.

Shouldn't be a Splatoon 1 situation of small amount of modes, maps and weapons but it would be nice to know :)

I think they usually announce some titles after the direct during Treehouse and other media coverage.

Still it's pretty short.

If Caps is the name of Super Mario Odyssey, it will obviously have an extremely strong 75-80% to start off, but have a poor 20-25% to finish off
I'm not salty at all, nope

But, I guess it means Wing Cap and etc. are coming back...hopefully

I heard that the Nintendo presentation is going to be 7 seconds long. Six of those seconds will be Reggie staring into the camera.

Really, if there's no one at Nintendo that has the time or will to work on a series, then said series won't get new games. It's why, as "unpopular" as it may be, Pikmin still gets games, because Miyamoto wants it to. It's why Kid Icarus has kinda gone back into limbo after Uprising, because Sakurai is the only guy associated with Nintendo who cares about the IP and he said he wasn't interested in working on a sequel. It's also why Donkey Kong fell into spinoff hell during the GCN/GBA era, because its main developer, Rare, got sold to Microsoft, and Nintendo didn't really know what to do with the series. I know everyone wants Retro to move back to Metroid or work on a new IP, but I fear leaving DK behind would probably throw the series back into the abyss like it was in the early 2000s.

This is why I wish Retro could work on two games at once. That way we could still get Donkey Kong and Metroid.

I have received new info that the estimated duration is a smokescreen. The Nintendo presentation will be 17 hours long. The final reveal?
Everything was Frog Fractions 3.
