Probably shipped that way, it's still on the pallet. They probably just unwrapped the plastic wrapping around the pile. The boxes will be fine, they have pieces inside to support. Most console stacks probably look something like that when they ship it for launch.

You can try to get it held at the nearest UPS Sorting Facility and pick it up as soon as it opens. However, someone pointed out that this could lead to you not getting your console until Monday if it gets put on the truck. The UPS guy will likely skip your house and return it to the sort facility for pick up and as you can't pick something up on Saturday, you'd be in an unfortunate pickle.
With that in mind, I think the safest bet is to just wait until it is delivered.

Haven't had any issues with this particular eb games yet. But there will be problems if my ps4 isn't there for me friday morning.

Oh shit yeah, I've got games bought from EB Games that had all these damn stickers on them. Pretty annoying. Hard to take off most of them but that's when you get some solution for it.
