He moved his car so he could be at home in case people robbed him. That's not proof he wanted to be robbed. Being prepared for a bad event that you know is going to happen, is not the same thing as actually creating this bad event . No one wants to be robbed.
Luring them would mean he actually selected his prey and tricked them into deciding to choose to rob his house. Perhaps, I am nitpicking, but I don't think so. I think there is distinction between the motives. Luring implies he was just bloodthirsty and wanted to kill, and this was his chance, rather than this being a case of a homeowner believing it is okay to kill thieves.
I wanted to go through this thread then realized that there might be idiots in here defending this guy.

Yeah this fuck parked his car down the street. Sick bastard. He should be tortured. Not just thrown in a cell.ya some people wont read the whole article realizing this old dude baited them in. What they did was wrong, but they did not deserve to die over it.
This is the dream of most gun owners in the US: The opportunity to kill someone under the assumption they'll get away with it
Wow this guy is an absolute lunatic. What is he expected to be sentenced to serve? This guy is legitimately dangerous and should get life in prison.

Agreed. This guy crossed well beyond the line.I find with someone using deadly force to defend themselves in their home. But this dude was just looking to kill people.
I think what he did was wrong but if anyone breaks in to someones home I think they give up all right to life. You don't know what kind of monster are out there but if you walk in to their home you get what you get.

Definitely not but jail is too easyCalling for torture is really fucked up. Do we really want to be as monstrous as this guy? I sure don't.

Had it been two Somalian teens I wonder how the jury would have voted.

what the fuck is this shit? I own several guns and would never dream of using them on another person. Stop generalizing. Most people own guns because its fun to shoot skeet, or target practice.
Isn't everyone who buys a gun for home defense "prepared" for murder?
Messed up guy and messed up laws that make people think shooting someone over petty belongings is a good idea.
This is you projecting.
My brother and father both defended this guy and said they don't see anything wrong with what he did. Both extreme 2nd amendment supporters
Yup. Self defense only covered the first shot to the girl that sent her down the stairs. The other 5 shots were unnecessary to disable the target and were thus murder. The double tapping is what makes this murder.
That audio was terrifying how the teen theifs were unknowingly walking into their own execution. Dude sounded like he felt like an action hero in a movie.

Do you really think most people own their guns for skeet shooting?

Damn those 2 supporters prove that everyone thinks that way!

Reasonable defense of your person isn't "murder" even outside the U.S. The difference between actual home defense cases and this is that if someone breaks into your home you can't assume they're unarmed, not dangerous, and are just going to take a few worthless belongings and leave, especially if they hear/find you awake. It's entirely defensive.
What this dude did was prepare, ambush, and murder.
It does. He had total control of the situation and could have held them up at gunpoint and called the police. The killings were unnecessary, especially the second one.Does it bother you all that they were killed or is it how they where killed? Where does their responsibility for their own safety started?
