the issue is that it still looks like crap even on PC version and apparently most of the data is just for the cutscenes in the campaign, not in the actual multiplayer and runs at a worse framerate
Just listening to a live podcast/show on Polygon.com, and Rush Frushtick seemed so suggest the PS4 version of Ghosts has more framerate problems than the XB1 version. He doesn't outright say that, but the way he words this gave me that impression.
Depends on what kind of frame rate we're talking. As people in the GT threads will know, I'm one of those who prefers to run GT5/6 in 1080p instead of 720p. The extra sharpness/detail of 1080p is considerably more noticeable to me than the loss of 5-15fps, especially when you're already well over 30fps.
On most LCD TVs, as soon as anything moves on screen, the motion resolution drops to around 300 lines. So anything over 480p is a waste of time except for stills.
