Should be us versus the contents of this video if anything.

You may even be right. However, do you think that if Sony came out with an exclusive, big budget open world racer that none of the DriveClub fans declaring their dislike of open world racers would suddenly change their mind?I'm guessing some will, yes.
Very American point of view I think. And one I strongly disagree with. Why can't there be room for both
Nice promotional video:
Forza H is briliant, fantastic, amazing
Driveclub is boring, lacks cars, has bad AI
Forza H is briliant, fantastic, amazing
'But let's face it, I'll still buy Forza 6' [LOL]
It's just an excuse to promote Forza Horizon and put down Driveclub.
I am not sure if there is still the rivals system as it was in the first Horizon which let you race against a time from one of your friends.
Gamespot: Why I'm not excited for Forza Motorsport 6
Yes, and it's even better than before. As soon as you beat one result, the game will offer the next rival to race against, with a higher payback. Beating four or five of them in a row can be very satisfying and net you a nice sum.
Ah yes, my supposed fanboy love for Forza Horizon even though I've never owned either of the games and probably never will? Gotcha. lol
And its you guys who keep fostering the term 'corridor racer'.
If this was an article on why they don't like open world racers and that we need more track-based racers like DriveClub, would you be in here arguing the same things?
You may even be right. However, do you think that if Sony came out with an exclusive, big budget open world racer that none of the DriveClub fans declaring their dislike of open world racers would suddenly change their mind?
'I'm not ready to be confined by the tyranny of the track, man.'
What an absolute wanker.
I will be very interested to see when Forza 6 releases if any of those here who slated DC because it was a "corridor racer" and could only like games like Horizon change their mind.
So they kept it and improved it, very good. I don't know why people want to ignore that while FH2 is open-world it doesn't feature circuit based racing.
I like Forza Motorsport, sure(which I'm not afraid of criticizing either, one of my posts criticizing it even got published on Kotaku). Not Forza Horizon. And I've never been a fan of giving Horizon the Forza name, either. I mean, it doesn't upset me, but yea, obviously to people like you, if you like Forza Motorsport, you are now a 'Forza fan' and that somehow encompasses Horizon. :/You have been one of Forza's most persistent defenders for as long as I've been posting here though. And keep in mind that you're the one that insisted on making this about groundless accusations of "fanboy"-ism.
I meant 'track-based' racers, not 30fps racers specifically and I think you know that. No, I'd be arguing that the last thing the world needs is more 30fps racers in that instance most likely.
Are the only ones who prefer open wheel racers Microsoft fans?Hmm... so... are the only ones complaining about open world racing "Driveclub fans"?

Wow. Fantastic video. Are gamespot videos all of this quality? Also, I agree with him. I'm a FH guy now.
You're being sarcastic right? RIGHT?
Or do fanboys who make insecure justifications only exist on one side of the fence for you?

Who cares what those handful of users think? They're trolls and you holding some sort of grudge and bringing it up so often is sad.
And yes, you did say it was an agenda by certain fans of a certain game. That is very explicitly your entire point, in fact.
Really, the 'open world racing' trend started before Forza Horizon.
I wouldn't be surprised if GT7 gets announced at E3 although definitely won't be slated for this yearAfter playing Driveclub, I'm ready for this. I do prefer the full sim model and 60fps for my driving games, so since DC was a personal disappointment, I may get an XB1 by the end of the year (unless Sony have a surprise GT7 announcement... PAHAHAHA I couldn't say that with a straight face).
Forza Horizon is one of the best racers of the last 5 years. It doesn't change the fact that I'd rather play a true motorsport game.
Turn 10 is in a position to make Forza 6 the best in the series. As is PD as well. Can't wait for GT7.
While I wait, I'm looking forward to Project Cars. It has the potential to be the best motorsport game around. Hopefully Grid Autorsport will make the transition to current gen as well. Heard great things about it.
Great time to be a racer!
I hated Horizon 2
You're goddamn right. Gamespot should be ripped mercilessly if this guy reviews FM6. Yes, it's all about opinions, but at least put people with a passing interest in and knowledge of the genres/games on the assignments.Since he doesn't like this type of game, he should be the one that reviews it!
This whole idea that track based racing games are boring really took off when the somewhat silly Driveclub vs Horizon phase took off. People started to look at track racing in a very negative way. This wasn't just people in forums either but the gaming press (maybe they were searching for that coveted "next gen gameplay").
Dude, that video was about Forza 6, not Driveclub. Get over it!
That's his opinion. You don't have to agree, but its not worth getting salty about. This doesn't need to be another DC vs Forza thread.
Both are quite capable of co-existing peacefully,

I just saw that video. Its only his opinion. And I don't agree with him.
He is not excited for Forza Motorsport 6 and basically every non open-world racing game... because there are not fun...
Probably his is not a fan of racing games and his is just looking for fun games. I am ok with this.
Well as a fan of racing games I like open-world racing games but I find more fun in this.
That is a comically large spoiler...
This is why I can't take these people seriously.
Yeah, who wants precise, carefully designed tracks, just give me randomly placed checkpoint gates.

Why not just play FM5 then?
I want to play a realistic track racer like you mention but two huge things would stop me:....
2. The complete lack of innovation in the genre. Careers modes are nothing but very thin veils over what are essentially the same races and track and events from past games. It's the same grind game after game with little virtual incentives or plot to spice up the tedium between and in races.
