Driving games and fighting games are 60fps and 'arcadey' by virtue of appearing in arcades, so maybe that's where you're getting that notion from?
Smooth frame rates just feels unrealastic to me. And it's probablly because when i was a kid i'd play in the arcades (most arcade games were 60 i think?) like i remember crazy taxi and stuff..
i know it's just a weird thing to say but i prefer 30fps for most stuff. especially if there is a realistic tone. I couldnt stand 60fps on last of us remastered for instance. but if it was something like power stone, 60fps is the way to go.
i suppose it's movies and "cinematic" ruined games for me being 60.
