It's needlessly more complicated.
Ok I was asking. Don't be an ass.Hmmm how about 1 Nintendo id. You register and use it for everything?
Seems like that might work. lol the fuck you guys it works this way on almost everything else.
Yeah. I wonder why they changed it for Switch?Same as Wii U. On Wii U you have NNID which remains but you can keep changing the display name which is the one used in online games.
I meet someone at work or whatever. Hey you have a switch? Add me?
What's your user name: JetBlackPanda -Done
What's your friend code: uhhhhh?? Let me get my switch Or my phone or..
With the ability to change Usernames whenever a player likes - what should be the way? What is the one constant thing about a player that stays the same?
Switch does exactly this.
Codes are for people you've never engaged with anywhere else.
Of course that's how you add friends.
"Hey, add me to switch! My unit number is 739149068463"
It also didnt require me to type in a randomized numerical code. What if you dony want to link your gaming and you social media? Why defend this?
How so? This update just went live, didnt it? And Nintendo hadnt given any info on it before exactly how it would work, so people couldnt know before now.Haha. So convenient to drop this with the Zelda reviews.
Yes because that's how I find people on psn and live.
Just stop defending this bs.
I posted this article and can confirm. It's very unfortunate. The one person that I had been friends with on Super Mario Run and also has a Switch was there for me to add and it was seamless, but it appears that unless you've played with a person before online or are in the same room as them, you'll need to use a 12-digit randomised friend code.
You can 100% as far as I can tell, not add people that are on Twitter or Facebook. This is not mentioned AT ALL. If you can, then it's not listed as an option. It clearly said friends on Super Mario Run and Miitomo.
I laughed out loud when I read this part. Goddamn, Nintendo.Oh, come on. Typing a friend code is much more pain in the ass than just sending a friend request to Robin64. You can't even copy-paste since there's no browser.
On its own maybe not. On top of all the other flaws and unknown questions however...And I agree there should be an option to send a friend request to Robin64, not disputing that. But I also don't think this is absolutely the end of the world as some people are making it out to be.
Ok I was asking. Don't be an ass.
Yeah. I wonder why they changed it for Switch?
if you both don't bring your Switches to work, you don't deserve to know each other

But now you change also the main name whenever you wantSame as Wii U. On Wii U you have NNID which remains but you can keep changing the display name which is the one used in online games.
Normally I don't mind since I only play a small number of online Nintendo titles with a small number of people but it is a concern that they now feel emboldened to charge for their online service without any evidence of improvement.

Then just type the code in like you'd type the name in, slightly less convenient but hardly adds more than 2 seconds to the process
But now you change also the main name whenever you want
I assumed all Miitomo friends would be automatically imported, but that's apparently not the case.
You can add people directly from that list though.I assumed all Miitomo friends would be automatically imported, but that's apparently not the case.
An overhaul of the system to bring your product up to the standard set for over 10 years.

Well they should make it encompass friends as well. The Nintendo Account carries your game purchases and connects your various accounts under one umbrella unit. It has nothing to do with friends.
Guess I need to post this again since there are some people who seem to have already forgotten after 2 page. Wow, how the mind slips!
"Allegedly"
Opening admitting to sexually assaulting someone(then banning anyone who called him out for it)
Posting revenge porn with their real full names then another admin(a now jailed pedophile) printed the photos and jacked off over them and sent it to the boyfriend.
You're right, how can we even know if he's guilty or not? HMMMM
Also:
So you're just going to defend it on the basis of Nintendo? Got it.
Perfect! I got a good laugh out of this.
Yes, an internal UID that doesn't need to be exposed and is associated with your current nickname and all your other stuff. Zero reason to use bs like friendcodes.Dunno what your answer to the question actually was.
If a player can change their username as often as they like - then what should be the way of adding Friends? Surely the system needs one constant "code".
I wouldn't add you, *insert derogatory term here*Please tell me how you would add me without a friend code, wiseguy.
