I was very lucky in Holland. I opted not to pay 50 bucks in advance back in the summer and I would've been scrapped off the list. But then, friday right when I was about to drive home from work, I got an email that my system was there for me to pick up until the 5th of Dec. So I caved.

They aren't available in any store around here afaik, save for vultures on trading sites.

Anyone else's disc drive sound like a plane when you put in a ps3 disc? Its really really bad :O it doesn't happen all the time just seems to be intermittent. Haven't had much of a chance to test out the cause tho

Probably because you're putting a PS3 disk in and so it's not going to be able to do anything with it? lol

Assuming that is a typo, I can quite clearly hear the disk drive when a game is installing, yes. Outside that it isn't really loud, no.

If you use the PS3>PS4 upgrade programme, you have to have the PS3 disc in for verification.

My Tesco got another batch of PS4s on Saturday (a few less than launch shipment and they'd all sold out that same day. It's been very popular.

Just thought I'd share my impressions on some KSF multiplayer:

Ok, after a long and late night play session on my PS4, I managed to play a few hours of Killzone Shadowfall's multiplayer. First things first...IT'S FANTASTIC! Yeah the campaign might not suit everybody (I like it) but seriously, get on multiplayer, it's so good. It's really easy to jump into, smooth and the controller is amazing for it. I was pleasantly surprised overall.

After two days of heartbreak I think I finally have it! Game just emailed me to confirm shipment of my Killzone bundle. On a Sunday no less! It's Express delivery so could potentially arrive tomorrow if they're shipping on Sundays, but more likely Tuesday.

Well after selling my Xbox one for £700 few days ago I was gonna wait and let the teething issues get ironed out before buying a ps4, But yesterday I was on GAME and for £529 they were selling the ps4 with KZ/FIFA/NFS/B4.....so I bought it then as soon as I did and came up in orders it was sold out so im hoping to get it this week anyway!

Same in Italy. I went in 5 different store the morning of launch & I haven't found a single ps4 available, all pre ordered. So I have to pre order it too, will be two long weeks.

If you order it from Amazon.it today you'll get one delivered December 16 and you don't have to pay it in full before that (plus you can return it plus amazing customer's support).
It's the reason I'll be waiting the day after that to make my ebay listing (or finally decide to keep the thing). But there's plenty of cities where the thing is readily available, even in Milan (Mediaworld Rubattino) there were plenty available the morning of launch (11AM there were at least 40) even if you hadn't one preordered.
Btw, Amazon shipping took less than a day with free shipping, got mine delivered on the 29th.

did you actually notice the sharp edges (corners) of the ps4? that thing could easily be diverted to a weapon or smht. I hope none starts a fight with these things.

I wish the corners/edges were more rounded though, like the ps3 slim.

The fuck? Why don't Germans buy it on Amazon.it then? It's in-stock. You'll just need a different power cord (3€ more or less) and warranty is valid in all of EU.

Are people really paying that much on ebay? I saw only 600+€ for standard PS4 "buy-now" options. 1000+€ would make me really regret canceling my standard PS4 day1 preorder.

The official one in the UK looks a bit pathetic, but I want something...tempted to import but interested to hear what others are using.

I have the official UK one. Sturdy, weighted, compact and has rubber inserts to cup the DS.

Very pleased with it.

I've just setup my PS4 on my PC desk in my room rather than the living room and wow! Sitting a foot or two away from my 27" monitor and the image is gorgeous. I've the PC and PS4 connected to the monitor and a Fiio Taishan converter to connect PS4 audio to the front speakers of my 5.1 set. It's quite strange typing this in Windows with the PS4 menu music playing in the background.

I'm still waiting to hear about my missing Killzone Steelbook though. I do hope Sony dispatch it soon.

For those in Germany, MediaMarkt online will have several PS4 bundles available today evening starting 20:00. I would advise to start checking the page at least 1 hour before that if you want a PS4 before Christmas.

Thanks for the heads up! I just snagged myself a Killzone bundle from Amazon UK, but if I can get one from Media Markt at a cheaper price and for an earlier date then I'll probably cancel my other order.
